Hello all YLs and OMs ... and anyone reading along;
Got a very nice posting from Sara AB7PS that is on the YL NET @ YAhoo
and really good to hear from her and her husband, and hear all is
ok and the garden, like ours is winding down for the year.
Our got the frost, so I don't think we will be getting too much more,
and some plants I wanted to bring in ...well ...we'll see next year
which is "famous Last words".
Not too many cold nights, here yet, so our furnace hasn't been doing
too much, and of course it is the time to get firewood and oil
for the furnace ...Tis the time of year.
Ye "Yellow Submarine" is still raring to go, and we always check the
long range for a chance to take off again, as well stopping here
and there to look at another "Sailboat" <hahahaa>.
Don't know if I mentioned it, but I guess not since I stopped making
monthly reports here, we lost one of our cats to a banned Pit Bull,
and the other had it's throat nearly ripped out... I was there with
the meds and some quickie surgery to put the fur and skin back, but
unfortunately the other cat "Menina" was totally mauled and ...well
you know what happens there. Complete jaw chewed and broken, both
eyes damaged and I don't know what...so the vet's advice was taken.
The owner, has been letting the dog out in the yard, since she moved
home from British Columbia, so the locals don't know about this
dog. It has been going over 8ft walls and after squirrels and cats
and well I told them, it doesn't come off a leash when outside
and if it ever comes over again....say Good Bye to it.
It totally has a mean streak, that killer streak and the owner doesn't
rcognize it. I used to think with these dogs, it was the owner...but
NO ..if they have that killer streak they are dangerous.
