Greetings, Peter, Michael, Sara, and everyone else reading along,
Peter, it was so good to see a report from you again. As you can
see, you got the rest of us writing, also. For some time I have been
thinking it was time for me to write a bit, but that old stumbling
block "procrastination" hung around. Your mention of the trip in
the "Yellow Submarine" to the deep woods to see the colors brought
lovely images to mind. Even though you will miss Rusty, I hope you
and Maria have an enjoyable outing.
Michael, I haven't tried any of the recipes yet, but they do sound
tasty. Maybe one of these days I'll venture out of my cooking rut
and try something new. So, keep sending them along.
Also, Michael, as our days get cooler and autumn is officially here,
I wonder if buds and blooms are beginning to appear at your place.
Sara, you and Bob certainly have not had a good year. I was so sorry
to hear about the most recent episodes. I hope all the swelling from
the bee sting is gone by now and not giving you trouble. And, I know
you have had many anxious moments over Bob's situation. I do hope that
he will respond well to the therapy and be back at home and doing well
very soon. And, hopefully the plumber got there and took care of the
leak.
Today we went to a lovely park for a picnic with our radio club folks.
The temperature was a cool 60 degrees, but the sun was shining brightly.
We wore our jackets and had our chairs in the sunshine while visiting.
There was a roof over the picnic tables, however, and we were out of
the sunshine while we were eating. When the wind decided to blow a bit,
we did shiver a little. But the food was delicious and the fellowship
great.
I hope the next messages I read from all of you will be nothing but
good news.
73, Billie
