Hi Billie,

Nothing felt in Auckland from the recent Christchurch Earthquake. Lots of
damage as you see on the internet news. I'm not sure if the international
news like CNN think it is worth their coverage?

The TV & Telephones seemed to have survived quite well, but many water &
sewer likes were broken. Historic buildings with brick & masonry fell
down.
Brick Chimneys fell down also. No one was killed as reported so far, but
some people had heart attacks from the shock of the event. Most people
were in bed when the quakes happened at about 4.30 AM.
I saw a TV report about a building burning due to broken gas lines &
sparks from broken electrical wiring.

The Mayor of Christchurch & the New Zealand government has been quick to
respond by making tours of the damaged areas and putting the usual
responce plans into effect.

No progress with job hunting so far. I wasn't called back for a second
inerview for a "structured cabling" job. There is a job agent I'm seeing
on Friday - Dick Downing of Edge Employment.
