Hello Peter, Billie, Michael and all reading this!
I think I'm back on Packet again!
Bob hasa arecovered from his fall - he had appointment with his primary
phycisian who could see no reason why he shouldn't drive - hospital found
no evidence of seizure - so we have been busy catching up on errands, ete.
A while ago Bob bought a new computer with Windows 7 (which he likes) so
about a week ago he decided to replace my Windows 98 computer (which was
used primarily for packet and not connected to the internet) with the XP.
Our computer guru came over to help get it set up - downloaded a new
copy of WinPack and decided to run a cable across the room to the modem.
After several trips to the Home Depot the project is complete - fthis
computer is now connected to the internet and I seem to have a good
connection to my BBS.
Was pleased to see so much activity on the YL net and finally got all the
bulletins read. Peter, I'm glad Maria is home - also happy to hear that
Rusty is still hanging in there and seems to be doing a bit better.Hopae
you are continuing to get your strengjth back. aCondolences on the lose
of your two cousins. I know you miss them.
Billie, enjoyed your bulletins and learning a bit more about you.
Meeting halfway sounds like a great plan.
My mother was the youngest of a large family - sort of an after thought -
and she didn't marry until she was 40 so all my cousins were much older
than me - we did visit 2 or 3 times - they lived in Wisconsin - and one
of the families visited in Washington once. But I have several 2nd
cousins, also in Wisconsin and MN that I correspond with.
Peter, my garden is not much this year. I did buy some petunias to plant
in front of the house. We are eating the lettuce in the planter on the
back deck - and the Swiss Chard is just barely up. Lots of weeds are
growing but it has been rainy and cool so I haven't been digging in the
mud.
Michael, I alsways enjoy reading about what is happining in NZ.
All for this time. Take care.
