Greetings, Michael, Sara, and other readers,

It was good to see your YL bulletins. It has been a bit
lonely over here in the YL category since the OM category
has become so active. But, we are glad to see all the
activity there. It does please K.O. to see people using
packet.

Sara, we were glad to hear that you have a computer setup
now that will make it much easier for you to connect to
your BBS. Maybe we will hear from you more often.

Michael, you are being busy with amateur radio events. Hope
the adjustment to the daily pills has good results and makes
you feel better. And, I hope you like your new neighbors.

Both of you mentioned rain in your postings. We had rain
for seven days, then a bit of sunshine, followed by more rain.
Our total rainfall for the month of May is way above average.
My moods seem to reflect the weather, so sunshine is better!

I enjoy reading about the plants and flowers that are growing
in your areas. I am not a gardener but an appreciator of what
others can make grow.

Sara, it is good to know that Bob's fall apparently was just a
misstep and not because of some medical problem. I know you
both are glad you can drive around on your own now. Having to
depend on others to take you where you need to go is inconvenient
even when they are willing. Reading about your family was
interesting. I can see that the cousins you do have are not
near enough for frequent visiting.

Branson is a tourist town and our season is getting underway though
not as busy as it is normally at this time of year. This is a big
year for our attractions, however. This is the 50th anniversary for
Silver Dollar City which is a large theme park well known over a
large area. Also, it is the 50th anniversary for the outdoor
theater, Shepherd of the Hills, which is an enactment of the book by
that name written by Harold Bell Wright in 1907. It is the story of
the Ozarks in this locale. Harold Bell Wright wrote the book while he
was staying in the area and places described in the book can be
located here.

This is the weekend, also, for Plumb Nellie Days (Plumb Nearly anything
can happen). There are tents set up in downtown Branson for crafts,
eats, a dog show, performances by local entertainers, and a street dance
tomorrow (Saturday) night. A king and queen will be crowned. In the
past they have had an outhouse race. I don't know whether or not that
is scheduled for this year!! Now for you folks who aren't Ozarkians
(we're not either really), "plumb" means "completely"--as in "plumb
tuckered out," which means "completely tired out."

Now I'm sure I've told you all you want to know about Branson, MO and
then some.

I'll be watching for your next postings with anticipation.

73, Billie
