In my case it's not in the car, but in an ageing Berghaus rucksack along
with an SLA cell (and what feels like 500kg of other junk) and carried up
the local hills/mountains for SOTAing 

I was concerned at 1st by how much the displayed voltage dips on TX peaks
but this is normal as there is a transformer winding in the feed to the PA
and the voltage drop across this is measured and used by the software as
part of the monitoring process.
