Thank you for your comments and measurements Andy. Very helpful.

Winpack is becoming beyond a joke for me. Your msg, like most of the SBs,
was chopped and I had to download and cut n paste to get a copy. Having
reverted to the standard Winpack font and gone through the Columns
adjustment routine several times, it is no better at all. Perhaps I am
doing something wrong and just repeating my mistake. I do not know.
Whatever the case, reading bulls, or rather NOT reading bulls, or seeing
half of one msg in somebody else's msg body is now tedious to the extreme.
Even re-installing Winpack has failed to cure this and I am at a loss how
to cure it other than a format and complete re-install which is about due
now. I suspect that some Winpack residue is kept and attached to the next
install, therefore repeating the fault. No matter. I shall answer this and
hopefully any others that I can "catch" and then get rid of Winpack again
hopefully giving me the original good setup.

That concurs with my remarks that the flashing 3 bars DOES give off
slightly less than the "clear\none" 5W power setup. Glad to hear it.
However, it also suggests that the information that I was given (And still
have) was ambiguous to say the least.

volatge was below 12V.

This also concurs with my statement\experience regarding the cigar socket
voltage being displayed as 12v (And dropping on load to below that) and
giving me 3 flashing bars.

Incidentally, assuming you go mobile?, do you do as I did with earlier
rigs, provide the battery voltage direct with a fuse lead and if so, put
out high power with clear\no bars and do you note similar drops\or not in
voltage then?

Thank you again for your measurements. Jeff.
