Got one here with no problems from a local 400w erp thing on 153Mhz.
But the FT480R suffered.
The IC706 MK1 should be ok as it has a bandpass filter on 2m.
But if it's had the "yellow wire mod" done to it there's no filter ;-)
Maybe that was the problem ?
