Our monsters are on 137Mhz they flatten the weather sats on the old
Spectrum Rx's.

My IC 706 MK1 only suffers in the presence of something else to mix with,
I am far enough away.

Others with MK2's a bit nearer get big problems.

One station setting up packet, lost the BBS on a Friday afternoon, I could
see the BBS responding and recommended turning up the volume for a listen.
All he could hear was paging. Is it Banks and shops that dump their data
on a Friday ?.

My MK1, no yelow wire mod, is a joke out of the Ham bands or on WFM unless
you like 6 pop stations at once. The dial says 137.5Mhz but I never hear a
weather sat because of the racket. Take it out in the sticks and it is a
new radio, still deaf though.

No such problems on the Kenwood. Or the one that didn't get a mention
Alinco, I haven't handled many but they are well up the list with me.
