Yes I suppose you could construct a packet but surely you'd have to be
on the look out for a return ping packet ?

Maybe if xrouter could ID the return packet and flag something up on the
screen ?

The problem there is that the Psion Revo running XTM DOS emulation only
supports program code that calls 8086 addressing and MDA/EGA screen modes
with a Revo screen. 

Thats ok for text mode stuff but useless with graphics - I know tried
the original DOS version of Autoroute and Graphic Packet and they do't
run.

Thats where Xrouter could prove to be quite handy.
