I have managed to have success with XROUTER and Winpack.

My previous problem was me not defining Winpack as an application.

It works fine and allows Winpack to have extra terminal windows just as if
you were running BPQ/AGW or TFHOST.

Here is a quick guide to using Xrouter and Winpack in DOS and Win3.1
____________________________________________________________________

1) You will need to put BPQDLL.DLL and BPQCODE.386 (from the G8BPQ node
package) into your c:\Windows\system directory.

2) Unline BPQ you do NOT have to edit Windows system.ini to hide your comport
from Windows !

3) Make sure your TNC is in KISS mode and at the DOS PROMPT run PZTHOST.EXE

4) Now start Windows.

5) From within Windows you can now start XROUTER.EXE

6) You can now start Winpack with it set to BPQ in the host mode settings
that are accessable under the OPTIONS >> COMMS SETUP.

And that's it.

Below is a sample XROUTER.CFG which in my setup I have the TNC talking to
my comport 1 at 2400bd.

I have attempted to get Winpack and Xroute working on my Win98 machine.

I basically use the same procedure as a Win31 machine and with comports
hidden and not hidden from Windows but Winpack for some reason fails to
see Xrouter.

However xrouter itself run in a DOSBOX and it's associated PMS etc

runs fine - so its just a caase of finding out why Winpack doesn't see
Xrouter.
