Hello!
This is exactly what SNOS is all about.
We have done it here for many years, mostly at slower speeds.
We are starting to use 802.11b gear for faster links. Simple to set up,
works well, and with SNOS you have the interface to the AX.25
network as well as tcp/ip over ham radio.
