What???
You kidding, right?
Goto your local computer shop and ask to look at some 802.11b or g
wirelkess networking equipment. This is all 2.4 GHz stuff.
The 2.4 GHz wireless networking allocation falls right ontop of the 2.4
GHz amateur allocation, in VK at least.
Althougth the power level maybe low, less than 200 mW average 40mW, many
10's of km's has been acheived with careful installations and persistance.
(Amps are available, but, yes, these can be expesnsive)
These 802.11b/g stuff can be had for under $AUD100.00
I have 6 wireless accesspoints here doing various applications. My best
distance from my system here is 7.5 km's at 2 MBit/s. We where able to do
full duplex video and audio, transfer many 100's megabytes of data etc
etc.
An this was all on channel 1, or 2412 MHz.
It is ***REALLY*** easy and quite cheap.
So dont be negative, get into it!
Regards
Mark
