Hi there, N2JXN,

There is a circuit for an equivalent Kenwood interface in the ARRL
Handbook issued around 1998-2000 and may even be in later versions. The
parts should be readily available at say Radio Shack because they are very
common. The circuit uses a MAX232 chip and four opto-isolators. The type
of the latter used are certainly not available here but the common 4N25
will do the job though the pinout is different from those shown.
