It's far better to link to the original copy of something like this,
rather than store a duplicate on a publicly-accessible site . The
problem with multiple copies archived on different websites is that when
the author posts a new copy of a program, many of the duplicate sites
DON'T GET UPDATED. (Unless of course, you are operating a formal
automated mirroring arrangement with the original site.)
The Internet is rife with out-of-date copies of thousands of freeware
and shareware programs, because well-meaning users mirror and then
forget about older versions of applications. New comers landing on
these sites, as a result of a Google search, then don't realize they are
getting obsolete versions of programs.

Upon additional research, the Toporama maps are less useful for UI-View.
UI-View32 assumes that North is the top of the map, that latitude
changes linearly along the Y axis and that longitude changes linearly
along the X axis. If the maps do not meet those conditions then
inaccuracies in plotting will occur.
Toporama maps use a Lambert Conformal Conic (LCC)(CANLAMB-83)
projection. When a LCC projection is used, North points straight up at
the centre of Canada and as you move West, North moves towards the right
and as you move East, North moves towards the left.
You will experience distortions if a Toporama map is used within UI-View
without adjusting the image for the different projection methods.

There is a program called Radio Mobile Deluxe which can create all kinds of topo and other maps for UI-View . The program uses SRTM which I think is shuttle imagery data as well as underlays and graps all sorts of photos or street maps from the web. It is tough program to figure out but very powerful. There are many features that integrate with UI-View.

Hi Mark
You may remember my wife and me from GPSL 2009.
Yes, Toporama maps are freely downloadable but their in a format that's a
bit difficult to calibrate for APRS programs. I use a program called Radio
Mobile (www.cplus.org/rmw) to generate static maps that can be used in many
APRS programs including UI-View. It can use Toporama as well as many other
map data sources as it's source. The program is desinged as a radio
porpagation tool that incorporates SRTM elevation data and the map
generation is just a great bonus.
I'm located in Saskatoon and some non-ham friends of mine had heard of the
project and had mentioned it to me. I'd be glad to help create as many maps
as he'd like as well as assist with any APRS setup. We have some APRS
infrastructure in the area but not a lot that would extend to the east where
the winter winds will likely send him. Everything is running on 144.390
with WIDEn-n support. We'd be glad to set up suplementary APRS support if
that would help.

Using a KPC3+ and do have APRS Server set up to Igate both ways. For some reason I no longer can pass RF traffic to the Internet. I did recently change computer and reloaded UI-View using same supplied numbers. I see RF traffic in the terminal window. Any ideas? Tom N5AS

Check the status page of the APRS-IS server that you are connecting to
(typically port 14501). Search for your callsign and check that you
have a Verified (column 4) connection. If not, you don't have the
APRS-IS passcode correct.

does.

As Lynn pointed out, you would need a verified connection, which you
have. You would also need to open the gateway, gate objects, insert
station callsign, gate local messages, and (already done) transmit IGate
status. Enable log-on required. Enter your validation number (done) and
for reliability, enable auto-reconnect. Then go to edit igate.ini and
tell it how many hops a station can be to be considered local. Decide
whether to use the default path (as set in station setup) or one you
specify. Do not enable gate all RF to INET. View the terminal window and
filter for exclude Internet traffic to view just what you are receiving
on RF and show IGate traffic to view what you are gating. Did all go
according to plan? Are you seeing any stations around you on RF? Are you
gating them? Did you happen to notice any messages to local stations?
Do you have the digi enabled too? If so, edt uiview32.ini to change
UIFLOOD to the two letter abbreviation for your state and change UITRACE
to WIDE. Only enable the digu if it's really needed in your location.
