Having read this subject for five years now, i have to say its the most
impressive online instant communication going in IM/EMAIL/MESSAGING/SOS
CALLS/URGENCY. If you want to pass on others messages ie from radio then
you NEED a radio attached to the PC with a straight line cable this then
allows you to pick up a roaming packeteer and pass him via ,I to INET the
PC alone cannot do this! NOT ALL appearing on the map are running an Igate
and really are just burning juice:)

There is a new product by Byon which can do all that is required ie TX/RX.

I drive 15k miles in Europe each year and im always disappointed when on
reaching my destination NOW only 3 or 4 positions are noted whereas in the
past there used to be thousands.

Living in the stix has its drawbacks but anyone entering my area or
passing me will be digi'd onto ,I INET.

ARISS path=CQ,ARISS*: qrg 145.825 simplex pwr 50w
NORMAL path=fixed=APRS,WIDE1-1,WIDE6-6 Mobile=WIDE1-1,WIDE6-6

Aerials dont have to be long. Do your maths and use a rubber duck 12in in
length and you wont hit the height restrictors at peages in France. There
be no doubt in my mind the best digipeater now, mobile or fixed is the ISS
every hour it comes over the horizon and you may have a 10 minute window
to send/receive all you wish..

For other disabled drivers use the transponder from Sanef (www.sanef.com)
and you will sail through all the peages just keep right! RESERVE!

Lot of traffic on ARISS tonight!:)
