It has taken me years to get really into one-to-one packet, its a learning
curve. One thing i am rather proud of is the late Roger BARKER G4IDE (SK)
work on producing this program and his work in UIV32. Nowt the yanks has
produced can compete with the sheer excellence of Roger's work. Maps look
like maps and one-to-one LIVE contact similar to a cw qso is possible
24/7.

My current UIV32 path=Callsign via aprs, ariss, qra: Upon the advice of the
master of APRS i tried :message: it dint work for me either, BUT, working
by bouncing of the ARISS does and a one-to-one IS possible at anytime day
or night.

Why do Sysops say *It cant be done*?

All the info i have at my fingertips including the book APRS by the Master
himself is contradictory almost all the way through. We are persuaded not
to use the path=Relay, wide, trace! Yet those of us in England in the
*sticks* have to do use relay, wide, wide, trace just to get *out* bearing in
mind that not many portables work in excess of 5w (QRP).

Back in June, as last night, my wife took ill. My UIV32 was on 24/7 via
WiFi connection and i sent an SOS it was acknowledged, then ignored by the
RAYNET stn it was sent to the Reaction of Raynet-uk.net was of absolute
amazement. NEVER again will i trust Raynet. I am working on a special
program which will send an SOS bulletin to ALL stations worldwide and its
in the testing process right now with good results. More later.

My TS-2000 is transmitting the station beacon 24/7 and i will be delighted
to help anyone in distress, all i need is your lat/lon and callsign and
the service required beit medic/mechanic/police/fire I WILL RESPOND.

I have NO respect for any UIV32 user who fails to use Control-A when not
in shack. If a SOS is acked it should be worked on immediately, a life may
hang in the balance. Once while scanning the cw bands on 20mtrs many years
ago i picked up the key of a fellow ham SOS he was taking on water and
listing, while ack'his call two americans drowned him and me with Kw of
power, though i passed all data to the HMCG it was sketchy...

This is NOT just a fine hobby its a life.
