I want to especially answer to this bulletin:
I am familiar with flares, fireworks and such.
Fired off shotguns flares with tiny parachutes and big ones
fired from anti aircraft guns , heard of the so called
"Chrismas tree and more what was used in WW II"
However , this "NEW" years party here in Southern Africa
showed a new design , I haven't witnessed so far for a ...
say, regular flare. It all goes under "Fireworks".
I am not saying it is "THE" explanation ... but you learn
something new every time.
This is a single , red ball flare. Fired in the night of the
turn of the year - there was NO noise heard when this one
has gone off. And not just only one, , There where at least
four I have seen.
A single red ball ,burning steadily ( unlike some which
flicker and re-ignite ) , off a distance of 600-700 meters
appearing as a tennis ball size , starting out deep red and
changing over time to orange and changing size and
form...mainly going smaller. They floated between 100 to 250
meters high with the prevailing wind , no noise was audible.
Burn time is an astonishing 4 to 5 minutes over all. There
is a little smoke trail but not always visible. They appear
at the end to get smaller and show a more disinguished
orange.
This is the first time I have seen such flares, for NY or
commercial applications.
It might explain some sightings.
There where no clouds which could have been illuminated,
this years Fire works where quiter than the years b4 here.
It could be that WE forget that there are probably advances
in flares/fireworks we have not seen b4. If the Aliens
advance annother 50 years so do our pyrotechnics. Lest not
forget that.
Note : This particular display should then have been
witnessed by many in this country - stepping out at NY 1200
O'Clock and witnessed the same. It should be Stuff regularly
available over the counter as "Fireworks". However it could
be treated as stuff marked as "Contraband " or else. At any
one time one cannot be shure in this country what is allowed
as Firework entertainment or else. It is used despite or
simply anyway.
