Our UFO interrest group needs to be more interactive...
Well, I haven't seen one lately.
But what wonders me is the multitude of shapes, forms,
colours and behaviours.
From : No sound at all to humming noises and sonic booms.
And the light-shows, colourfull, bright and pulsating or
else.
There seems to be only one thing to be common: Few touch the
ground,or are parked somewhere and few are operating on or
under water.
And for us humans it seems to be odd that many of these
contraptions are so very much brighly lit, pulsating even
and changing colours. For us liveforms it would be a problem
to peek out of windows or use cameras ingulfed themself in
such brightness.
Onnother idea comes to mind : Several people have come close
to material objects, but few had the idea to throw a stone
at it. One would expect a klunk or noise or some other
phenomenon. I mean not shooting at it or any hostile action
but a verification of material as we know it.
Understandibly many are overawed , have no camera with them
or else.
And even so, few seemed to have the idea of turning a radio
on ( Hams hear,hear) to see if there would be some form of
interference. LW/MW/SW (AM)
And with many of these crafts, there seems to be no logic in
their movement like : Take samples, observe the earth,
cartography and such. The whole bahaviour is more like : The
earth atmosphere is a playground for extraterrestial kids to
try out theire latest flying contraption in a oxygen sphere
such as ours. Might be fun.

Sightings:
Coyote Lake Above Gilroy California A Huge Ferris Wheel UFO
Date: 1959 or 1960 ?
Time: Evening.
I'm 56 now. I was born in Salinas California. My grandmother and father lived
in a house on Coyote Lake above Gilroy Ca. They also had a small cabin
below their house near the lake which had been their vacation home before
building the bigger house above. I would stay with them every summer. To the
best of my memory the year was 1959 or 1960. They had a big picture window
over looking the lake, which was maybe 15 feet out and 25 feet down from the
cabin. The lake is around a mile across and several miles long. At that time I
always slept there by myself.
This had such an impact on me, that I still have a vivid memory of what I saw.
I saw from the top of the window, what I thought was a ferry wheel on it's
side descending down towards the lake turning very slowly. I remember looking
back at the pot bellied stove to see if a reflection from the fire was
mirroring off the inside of the window. I remember putting my face right
against the glass, this wheel had colored lights very similar to a ferry
wheel.
I even remember thinking there must be something going on down the road at the
canteena, which was a bar and dance floor, like they must have a Ferris
wheel set up and this is a reflection, all of these things were going though
my mind. The object kept getting lower and lower until it was not far from the
water, the whole time turning slowly, it was gigantic. Of course I was only 9
or 10, but if I had to guess, I would say it was at lease as big as a real
Ferris wheel. It was at about 30 degrees of horizontal. It finally lifted up
slowly until it out of sight because of the top of the window frame.
That was it. I have never seen another UFO in my life, but I know what I saw
that night. I refused to stay in the cabin by myself for a very long time.
Many years ago I was watching a UFO show, their was an eye witness to a UFO, I
know it was back east, the UFO that the guy was talking about, and the
drawing they were showing, was identical to what I saw. I was blown away.

Victoria, British Columbia A Large Oval Shaped UFO (Lights Or Windows)

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian
In 1963 I lived with my parents and brothers in Victoria. For those who know
the area, we were just to the north of Mt Tolmie , near the University of
Victoria. That area, with the exception of the solitary mountain, is flat with
lots of visible sky.
This event took place early on a quiet summer evening. After dinner mother
had walked a few blocks to visit a friend. My younger brother and I were the
only two at home. He was 13 at the time. The sky was clear, there was no wind
and the sun had just set so it was still light, probably around 8:30 or 9:00
P.M. My brother decided to also walk to the house where mom was visiting .
I was having a peaceful evening at home when the phone rang. It was my mother
calling from her friend's house. She quickly told me to go outside and look
south toward the mountain. I rushed to the window just in time to see a large
oval shape disappear over the mountain top. By the time I actually focused on
it, it was gone.
Apparently as my brother was walking to meet mom, he saw a large oval shaped
silver object quickly coming from the north. It was similar in shape to a
blimp but much larger. With a outward curve in the centre on the top and
bottom it resembled two soup plates joined at the rims. It also had a row of
lights or windows that appeared to encircle the middle where the rims would
have met (if it had been two soup bowls). It was at an altitude of maybe 500
feet. It was definitely low enough that it did not reflect the recently set
sun. There was no sound and it was moving slightly faster than a small plane.
He wasn't sure if he should run home and tell me or keep going and tell mom.
Being a bit closer to mom's friend's house he kept going and burst in the
kitchen door telling them to come outside. They did. Mom took one look and
rushed back in to call me. Although her viewing was very brief she described
the object the same as my brother did. So did her friend. It was in sight for
probably a total of five minutes. That would be the length of time for my
brother to run a block, show mom and then for mom to phone me and for me to
look out the window.
That was all any of us saw. If anybody else did as well, we never heard. We
also never heard that any kind of blimp was in the area and in those days that
would have been a news item. It is even today.
Oddly, my brother now has very little memory of what he saw. He is even a bit
uncomfortable talking about it which is quite out of character. He is a little
confused by that as am I. It was quite an event at the time.

Full Description of event/sighting:
This is in response to your request for UFO sightings on Vancouver Island. I
know of only three. That was about the three daylight "stars" my dad saw in
Alert Bay in 1924.
The next one I will tell you about took place in 1968 or 69. It happened to a
girl who became my best friend. Actually you've already met her in another
story. She was the lady who was camping with her husband in Ontario when her
dogs and her husband saw the lady floating across the campground!
At the time of this event I'd not known her for very long. We were both taking
a medical training course at the Jubilee Hospital and had just met. However we
had become instant friends. Eventually we became roommates.
One morning she came to work and seemed tired and a bit distracted. During
lunch she told me a strange story. At this time she was living on her own and
boarding at two houses across the street from each other. In one house she had
a bedroom and the other is where she had all her meals. It was an odd
arrangement but seemed to work for everyone.
She told me that during the night she awoke feeling very frightened. She
sensed that something was in her basement bedroom with her. Her first thought
was that she must have been dreaming and this was just a residual feeling, but
it wasn't going away. It was getting stronger. She knew she had to get out of
there. She had to get away from the house and hide. A place of refuge might
be the house across the street where she had her meals, so she grabbed the
house key, dashed down the hallway and out the basement door. As soon as she
got a little way from the door a bright blue beam of light appeared at the
edge of the yard. It was coming from the sky and although she could not bring
herself to look up to see where it was coming from, it felt quite close. It
was like a searchlight beam, very narrow, very bright and very blue. There was
no sound and the night was completely still. As the light came closer to her
she ran around the corner of the house. The blue light followed. All she knew
was she must not let the blue light touch her. She tried to hide but the blue
light kept coming closer. She wanted to run to the house across the street but
was terrified of being out in the open.
Then she stopped talking. I asked her what happened next. She quietly said "I
don't know". I asked where she had woken in the morning but she didn't
remember. I asked if she had breakfast at the other house and she assumed she
must have. All she remembers is trying to hide from the bright blue light and
then nothing until arriving at work.
We talked about it for a while, trying to understand what had happened. It
obviously was not a helicopter as there was absolutely no sound. And anyway,
why would a helicopter (with blue lights) be chasing her around the yard in
the middle of the night in a residential area. We tentatively went to the
topic of flying saucers (as they were then called). We really didn't want to
go there! We rejected that idea because of the blue light. We didn't know much
about them but we'd never heard of any with a blue light. Eventually we
reluctantly settled on a very vivid, unusual nightmare. That was OK with her.
She didn't really want to believe that what had happened was real!
Over the next few days she seemed less upset and we didn't talk about it any
more. Then a couple of months later I happened across a UFO report that talked
of a narrow bright blue beams of light, exactly as she had described! That
immediately brought back the flying saucer possibility. After all, it was the
blue light that had made us reject the idea originally.
Was it a UFO, hallucination (she did not drink or do drugs) or a strange
dream? She doesn't know, but even after all these years she remembers it very
well. We still talk about it sometimes and wonder.
Hope this is a bit of what you are looking for. If it is and if I have some
time later I will tell you of the third UFO event that I am aware of in this
area.

Denville, New Jersey A Large Orange Object Enters The Boonton Reservoir
Date: New Years Eve 1976
Time: Approx: 1:00 a.m.
I grew up in Denville, NJ about 35 miles west of NYC. It was New years Eve
1976, I was 12 (not drinking yet!) my parents we're out. It was about 1:00 am
and I put my dog outside. I look up in the sky and see this glowing
orange/reddish object. It was several miles away but not that high up. I
watched for about 5 minutes until it started getting closer. I freaked out,
went inside and closed the drapes. (Like that would protect me) and waited
till my parents got home. Of course they didn't believe me. Next day in the
Daily Record, Large orange object seen going into Boonton Reservoir.

Monticello, New York The Police And Fire Engines Following Huge UFO
Date: Labour Day weekend 1985
Time: Evening. (Dusk)
Move forward nine years, labourday weekend 1985 in Monticello, NY, for several
years we camped at Bailey Lake. A small campground with a mile long by 1/2
mile wide lake, right down the road form the Concord Hotel. It was a really
lousy rainy weekend and most campers went home. I was not there, having told
my parents I was celebrating my 21st birthday with a party at the house. Big
Mistake. It was Sunday night, the sun was starting to set. The tree line
started immediately behind our camper, the woods are tall and deep. My parents
and my sister we're out front with our Neighbour and his grandson, looking
towards the lake. They started hearing a loud humming machine generator sound.
My dad said what is that and the neighbours grandson said, It probably a UFO
jokingly. They looked up and just above the trees, 60 feet tall, there it was.
The craft slowly moved above them. I asked my dad what the surface looked like
smooth or like Star Wars/Battlestar Galactica. He said it was Star Wars like
and he could clearly see the details. They all went down to the lake about 50
feet away for a clearer look. They watched the UFO about 400 yards wide by 30.
They watched for about 15 minutes as it slowly crossed the lake and headed
towards downtown Monticello. The police and Fire Engines could be seen with
sirens blasting completely following it. Now my dad believes me. Today was
his birthday and I told him about last weeks flying Pumpkins.

Aiken, South Carolina Round Or Disc Shaped Objects Triangular Formation

Full Description of event/sighting: This event took place the night that the
ISS was visible over the east coast in March 2008 at 8:23 pm EST (not sure of
the day). My son, 16 yrs, and I, 47 yrs, were watching the ISS pass over at
incredible speed, obviously, when I noticed three stars to the left of the ISS
path brighter than the rest of the stars. They were dimming slightly and
getting brighter alternately, though not at the same time. Stars could be seen
between them, so they were definitely three separate entities. I had never
noticed these lights in that area, but since they were not moving and I am no
astronomer, I brushed them off as stars. When the ISS passed them, my son
asked "Dad, what are those three "stars" doing? The three "stars" began to
move and cross the pass the ISS had taken.
They stayed in a triangle formation and began to pick up speed until they
zoomed off at incredible speed. I had no idea as to the altitude of these
objects, but they appeared to be in the same approximate orbit as the ISS,
because the light emitted from them appeared the same as the ISS (reflected
sunlight). When we last saw them, they were moving away from, and at a rate
faster than, the ISS (the ISS is moving ~17,000 mph). NASA and the ISS Control
station had to see them, though I doubt they would admit it. My son and I are
not easily impressionable and are both fairly intelligent people. If anyone

Etobicoke, Ontario A Shinning Orange Ball

Time: Evening.
Hello there, my name is (name removed), 23, and I live in Etobicoke, Ontario.
I live on the tenth floor of an apartment building and our windows all face
north west. In the distance, I can see Pearson Airport (Toronto). The planes
taking off, landing, even helicopters all day long and every day. It never
lest up. We can see them from very far away, nonetheless I know what a plane
looks like.
Over the past, say 4 weeks I have noticed at night that there is a shining
orange ball, like a bright star or meteor that seems to appear in the sky
north of the airport (it's probably way out there, but this is what I can
see). For a couple weeks I put it out of my head, like it was a bright star,
or a satellite, or something. But now that it has appeared in the same area
week after week for at least 4 weeks now, starting around the beginning of
April 2008. Tonight is the first time that I have actually gotten out of bed,
to try to examine it closer with my telescope and I have to admit it has
driven me to do some research on the internet. It appears to me, as best I can
seem to focus with the telescope as a burning ball of some sort. Seems to
flicker colours, usually staying mostly red and orange, some green though.
Any information, or links to possible sources would be great. I just felt that
after having seen this phenomenon more than a handful of times, that I had to
mention it to someone and not many people are very interested when you ask
weird questions, specially ones about space.

Over Lake Ontario Bright Yellow Glowing UFO Comes Out Of The Lake

Location of Sighting: Over Lake Ontario.

Shape of objects: Round glowing ball.
Full Description of event/sighting: The object looked like a big full moon, a
really bright yellow glowing ball that came out of the lake. It looked like
the sun setting, but was rising at night. It took about one minute to get
about 45 degrees in the sky. This object was huge and went behind a big cloud.
I was looking east from the beach right behind Hutches Restaurant with my
daughter and nephew. My daughter is 10 and nephew is 11.

North Of Indianapolis, Indiana Night time Sky Lights Up A Turquoise Color

Hey. I live in Indiana just a little north of Indianapolis and I have been
hearing about all this stuff going on. First the night of April 16th there
were many sightings and sounds heard, some described sonic booms, and others
describe fireballs. I'm not sure but I believe this happened 2 nights in a
row, which is pretty strange if it was just a "military exercise." As you
might have heard Indiana also experienced an earthquake on the morning of
April 18th at approximately 5:40 AM. I personally was in bed and shaken awake
at this time, but some friends were up late throwing a good bye party for
someone. What they described seemed a little strange, especially with all this
stuff going on from the 2 nights previous. They were outside sitting bye a
fire, I would guess at about 3:30 AM when they see the sky light up a
turquoise colour and heard a sound that was like "the biggest fly in the world
getting zapped on the biggest bug zapper in the world." Then 2 hours later we
get an earthquake? Strange.

Berlin, Connecticut An Orange Round Glowing Object

Full Description of event/sighting: It was an orange round glow that was
travelling about 200 mph 2,000 ft. up. At the speed and height like a plane
coming in for a landing. Strange this, it was not in focus and made no sound
as it passed overhead. I have been searching and asking if anyone else saw
this and they all think I am nuts.

Round Lake, Illinois Police Officers And Many Witness To UFO Sighting
Date: April 25, 2008
Time: Approx: 8:45 p.m.
HBCC UFO Research Note: Another major UFO event has taken place in the Midwest
of the United States. People were pulled over to the side of the road and the
police were there observing the UFO as well. I certainly would like to request
that if anyone knows anything about this event to please write to me(Peter
ZS2ABF) as I am looking for other eyewitnesses and more detail. Also if an
officer who has any knowledge of the event, please do contact me. Of course
all personal information is private ! Also I can remove or change names in
this report.
The unfortunate part of this story is that I didn't experience it first hand.
The other unfortunate part is that my co worker would never report this to
ANYONE he doesn't personally know for fear of ridicule. When I got to work
this morning, my co worker was acting a bit odd. When I greeted him he said ".
I gotta tell you something really bizarre. I didn't even tell my wife because
she'll think I'm crazy."
My co worker lives in Round Lake, Illinois which is rather far north. He was a
short distance from his home on route 120 (I believe he said) which has some
farm area’s and quite a bit of space.
He tensed up and got very wide eyed and intense. This is what he told us
(another employee and myself), not verbatim but this is rather close.
As I was driving I saw this huge light at ground level but still above the
field it was over. I kept driving but I saw cars pulled over with people out
of their cars watching so I pulled over. I asked some people what they thought
and I said I thought it was some equipment being used or kids screwing around.
But the light just sat there for a while. Nothing happened so I started to
drive away when I noticed the light wasn't getting any smaller. I saw more
cars pulled off up ahead again so I pulled over again and watched it for a
while. By this point a cop showed up with his lights on. He asked everyone
what was going on, I told him what I thought it was but that something was
weird about it. So then another cop/car pulls up and says, 'You can only see
it from the one side, I drove around the property.' Now, we all think it some
sort of lighting rig. So the cops head out across the field towards the light
when it shot directly up in the air like 20 feet and disappeared. NOT flew
away, disappeared. The cops came running back pretty freaked out. I hung
around while they searched the area and found not a trace of anything out
there. At this point is was 11:30pm."
We get off work at 8pm, which would have put him in that area at 8:45. My co
worker has a wife and a 3 year old son that he adores. He is an incredibly
nice and liable person. In 5 years of working with him I have never heard him
exaggerate any details nor have we ever discussed my passion for UFO's and
Chem
trails. I try to keep that stuff away from work (until now!). He was genuinely
scared when he talked about this. I could see it in his face, clearly. I need
to get some more details like what police squad showed up, how big was the
light, etc. I wonder if the cops will file a report or if it will get
squashed?
Man! I wish I were there! So much stuff is happening in our area (the
Midwest). Let's see? Sonic Booms/Earthquake/Chemtrails/Hail
Storms/Orbs/Strange Light/Increasing Sightings... How much more needs to
happen before we get some answers!? In the meantime I will keep a watchful eye
on what going on and continue reporting. Thanks again for providing us with as
much proof and truth humanly possible!

Surrey, British Columbia Two Mirror Like Cylinders Reflecting Sunlight
Date: April 25, 2008
Time: 3:20 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Surrey, B.C.

Shape of objects: Appeared to be cigar shaped, very shiny.
Full Description of event/sighting: Wish you could have seen this thing or
things, had to have been doing several thousand miles an hour made the other
planes just appear to crawl and they were mostly on approach, so low altitude.
Weather mild, quite a bit of sunshine and blue sky, numerous Cumulus clouds. I
was sitting out on my deck enjoying the day and watching a number of planes on
approach to YVR when the racket from one of the Police choppers caught my
attention. He was circling around just north of my building. As I watched him
I noticed a set of contrails appear from behind the clouds just to the west of
him and at about a 60 degree angle above the horizon, probably about 30 to 40
thousand feet. My first thought was 747. Trouble is most large jets appear to
be virtually standing still when seen at that altitude. This thing was really
hauling, like watching a rocket.
I grabbed my binoculars still expecting to see the shape of a plane. Instead I
could see two mirror like cylinders reflecting the suns rays. I could plainly
see the contrails behind the objects but not their source. Two of the
contrails just seemed to appear out of thin air and the other two were
appearing behind the objects. I could not see any wings or engines nor hear
any noise from them. The objects were heading for a large dark cloud so I
jumped up and grabbed my spotting scope hoping the extra power would resolve
the issue. Within seconds the contrails reappeared but I could no longer see
the objects. Initially the objects had been on a SSE course but after crossing
over Boundary Bay they made a wide swing to directly South. I don't recall
ever seeing any large plane deviate from their course like that. Estimated
time of viewing two to three minutes or less and that was covering almost the
entire sky.

Altoona, Iowa A Pink Flashing Object
Date: April 26, 2008
Time: 11:15 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Outside on my back porch.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: It appeared to be a large star-like object.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was looking out my kitchen window
tonight and noticed a large pink flashing star-like object. This object came
from the west and was heading east. Right away I knew this couldn't have been
from around here since the object was flashing in a pinkish colour. It was
flashing at a medium pace and the object itself was moving fairly fast and was
at a height of about seven hundred feet and was moving silently. I have never
seen a pink flashing object around these parts before so I can't tell you what
it was. When the pink light wasn't flashing you could tell the object was a
gray’ish colour. I watched this object for about five minutes, and the weather
tonight is cloudy and cool.

Location of Sighting: Front Yard of House (Facing East).

Full Description of event/sighting: Object appeared to be a satellite
travelling from west to east. After we watched it for a few seconds we
realized it was not travelling in a straight line but changing direction. It
was too high up and too fast for a plane and I've never seen a satellite
change direction in this manner.

Milnerton/Somerset West Cape Town, Africa UFO Flashing Colours
Date: April 28, 2008
Time: Approx 6.45 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Above suburb of Milnerton/Somerset West.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Spherical/craft.
Full Description of event/sighting: At around 6:45pm my mother, brother and
myself noticed a light flickering above the suburb of Milnerton in my home
town of Cape Town South Africa.
At first we thought it was a really bright star, but after a few minutes it
was glowing incredibly brightly, still completely motionless. I went to grab
my binoculars but by the time I had focused them on the object it had dimmed
out almost completely and a craft flashing red, blue and white lights began
moving away out of our sight (a building was obscuring the view).
