14 Miles East Of Auckland, New Zealand A Huge Flying Disc
Date: December 1974.

HBCC UFO Research Note: Brian Vike called the U.K. on Friday May 2, 2008 and
caught up with the gentleman who had this sighting and did a telephone
interview with him over what he saw. Excellent sighting and I will be airing
the interview on the Vike Report radio show this Sunday night (May 4, 2008)
Full Description of event/sighting: Hello Brian, I emailed you a few years ago
regarding this sighting. You telephoned me at home on the only night that I am
out of the house so I missed you. I really would like to know what I saw the
night in 1974.
By trade I was an airframe mechanical and systems fitter on military aircraft.
At the time of the sighting I was working as an engineer officer with Cunard
Cargo Shipping. We had left Auckland New Zealand and were sailing east at
about seventeen knots. The horizon was lit with the light of Auckland city. I
went out onto an after deck and looked towards the stern of the ship. About
four miles behind was a light at sea level it looked like a fishing boat. The
light then ascended straight up into the clouds in about three seconds. The
light grew so large and so bright in intensity that it lit the whole of the
sky. I remember thinking that no battery powered light could get that bright
and so big.
The light then dimmed and descended to sea level and approached the ship on
the port side. As it got to within about one hundred yards I realized it was a
huge flying disc approximately eighty to one hundred feet in diameter. It was
the colour grey shaped like a discuss thrown at a school sports event and had
colored lights flashing slowly around the circumference in sequence one after
another. It came up our port side slightly faster than we were going at about
one hundred feet high and one hundred feet away. It made absolutely no sound
and no ripples on the sea. I became frightened and hid behind a ships derrick
and peered at it from behind the derrick. It did not show on the ships radar.
It came level with amidships and then turned to port and sped off.
What I would like you to answer is this: Are there or were there any 'black
projects' at that time (1974) that you know of that resemble what I saw?
I believe what I saw was not from this planet. I would really like to get to
the bottom of it before I leave this earth

St. Louis County, Missouri UFO Looked Like The Battlestar Galactica Craft

Full Description of event/sighting: It was a clear day/sunny. I was going to
my 1977 dodge van that was parked in my parents front drive way. As I was
getting into my van I saw it. It was just sitting above the trees a few
hundred feet in the air. It was huge. I got in my van and started to drive
towards it trying to keep it in my sight as I went. As I got closer I could
see much detail. It appeared to be constructed of individual shinny metal
plates (very similar to the construction of the St. Louis Arch) I also could
see piping running down the sides as well as other features similar to
something you'd see on a close up of a ship on Battlestar Galactica. I kept
looking at it to try and see a window to see some one or something.
On the top of the ship there was a raised section I can only describe as a
large scooped section. As I approached the intersection of Lemay Ferry and
Buckley Road, it appeared to be sitting directly over the gas station at the
intersection. I continued to focus on the scooped section as I felt that this
might be a windowed area. However the angle at which I saw it at was improper
to see much but the lower part of it. As I was almost directly under it, it
moved off at a 45-degree angle at a high rate of speed, it left green tracer.
It almost just disappeared. I then drove directly to my friend’s house and
pulled into his driveway, he came out and I said to him, you are not going to
believe what I just saw. As we stood in his driveway talking we saw military
jet fly over the area where I had just saw the UFO. My friend said that he
believed what I said because of the military jet that we were seeing. I have
never told anyone about this sighting before now (except my dad). I would like
to under go hypnosis to try and remember and gain a more accurate account of
what I saw. Draw a picture or try to. Try to get an accurate size of the
object. The exact date and time, etc. I saw nothing that could not of been man
made. I know what I saw.

Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia Massive White Ball With Tail

Shape of objects: round, white, big, and had a massive tail on it that was
displaying a lot of colours.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was at a friend’s house in mid Nov 2001.
We were waiting for another friend of ours. I left the apartment building to
have a smoke and wait for my friend. I remember looking North down the street
and saw no one, since it had no street lights (Walker Ave in Sackville before
the bus station was built) looked south to see if he was walking that way
instead, no one. I lit my smoke and looked north again, to see this massive
white ball with a massive tail. It wasn't bright like most UFO sightings, but
it was huge. Huge as in from where I was standing, looking at the highway; it
was comparable to the size of the moon when it rises. Big for the speed it was
travelling. It flew North to South in about 10-12 seconds. I had a really,
really good look at it. It looked like a comet! I have seen a comet before
through a telescope and by far that is the best way to describe what I saw.
After it disappeared I looked back down the dark part of the street and my
friend had just emerged from the darkness yelling, "Did you just see that!" We
thought it could be something man made re-entering the earths atmosphere but
man it seemed low and we heard nothing about it.

Bury Lancashire, England A Circular/Elliptical UFO

Sir, I was just looking up UFO sightings in the Bury Lancashire, England area
and found a couple of reports and your email address. I would like to tell you
about a possible sighting.
I was shocked quite recently, when my elderly aunt (80 year old) introduced
UFOs into the conversation. She and her late husband had apparently seen a
circular/elliptical object in the sky at the back of their house. This
happened around late 2001/early 2002. (My aunt couldn't remember the exact
date) initially, the object appeared as a bright light stationary in the sky
and my aunt and uncle were curious enough to venture onto their patio to take
a closer look. From there, they observed a large, stationary, silent object
with colored-orange, pink-lights around it. My aunt suggested it was a plane
but was quickly corrected by my uncle who had been an aircraft builder.
He told her that planes don't have lights all round and they certainly can't
hover silently. This left the possibility of a helicopter. Do silent ones
exist? or a hot air balloon? or an airship? Only one problem, as my aunt and
uncle and two neighbours observed the craft, it flew away over the house,
faster than anything they had seen. It then paused briefly at the front of the
house, before shooting off again at lightning speed. My uncle and aunt were
very reluctant to tell anyone for fear of ridicule. However, last month, when
my aunt told me, I looked up possible sightings in that area for 2001/2002,
and I found a report on a strikingly similar craft being observed by off-duty
police officers in the Bury/Rochdale area of England.

Kokomo, Indiana Dee Jay For WWKI Radio Reports On Event

HBCC UFO Research Note: The below report is just excellent and talks about the
events that took place on April 16, 2008 as a Dee Jay for WWKI Radio was on
air when all broke loose. JJ gives a great description of the events of that
night in his report below. Also I am waiting word to see if I can get the
recordings from the radio station. Brian Vike Director of HBCC UFO Research is
looking for anyone who witnessed the night's events, from the sonic boom,
lights, craft, etc. Reports of debris from the police and area residents was
reported scattered all over a road. I also would like to hear from any police
officers that attended the calls, or anyone with information. Please note that
I will keep your personal information private
The following report is lengthy, but I wanted to give you as accurate a report
as possible. I realize this is two weeks after the fact.
I'm a Deejay for WWKI radio in Kokomo, IN and was working on the night of
April 16th.
The explosion, or boom happened at approximately 10:25pm ET. I remember
looking at the clock after it happened, because I thought someone crashed into
my car or the building, and would need the time it occurred for the police
report.
I stepped outside and saw that nothing was wrong with the building or my
vehicle. By the time I had walked back to the studio, the scanner was going
crazy with activity and all 11 phones lines were lit up. The police and
sheriff's department were treating it as a possible plane crash and had all
units heading south of town to look for a crash site, and to set up a crash
perimeter. Phone calls poured in that they were looking in the wrong area, as
sightings were toward the west.
I put several calls on the air explaining what they saw, or thought they saw.
Everything from sonic booms from F-16s doing manoeuvres and dog fights, to
meteorites, to UFOs, but when I put a guy on that described the following,
almost all the callers afterwards said they saw the exact same thing.
Most said that the explosion happened first, and shortly after they saw a big
ball of fire in the sky, which broke into smaller balls and headed in all
different directions. I thought that was unusual in that you would normally
see the explosion before you hear it. Then they saw the glowing lights in a
row, 6 to 9 in all side by side, appearing approximately 60-90 seconds
afterward.
There were reports of debris on the highway as well as in people's yards south
of town, but when the authorities showed up they reported no debris had been
found. The dispatcher then told all of them to go to Tach 6. The search was
redirected west of town toward one of the county schools, and then quit
altogether.
We covered the event until just after midnight when the scanner died down and
the police and sheriff's department had nothing more to report.
I later heard that a similar occurrence happened the night before in
Logansport, which is a small town just northwest of Kokomo. The following
night I received a half dozen or so calls that the lights in the sky were back
again, but nothing else became of it. Then on the following morning the
earthquake awakened my wife and me. I've never been in an earthquake before,
but the sound I heard was very loud like an explosion. My first thought was
that my dogs had knocked something over in the other room. When I walked into
our dining room I could hear our wineglasses rattling together for about one
minute.
I was on the air when the Challenger exploded, and on 9/11, but in my 25 years
in radio, I have never seen the phone activity as high as it was on the night
of April 16th. I don't know what happened that night, nor am I sure what I
believe. All I know is that it was one of the strangest nights I've ever
experienced.

St Thomas, Ontario UFO Appears To Jump Around The Sky

Full Description of event/sighting: I was standing outside my back garden
having a cigarette and star gazing at the same time and this light just
appeared, a lot brighter and closer than any star and was moving in an
incredibly weird fashion. It didn't move in straight lines, but seemed to
almost jump around in the sky. The only way I could describe the UFO is that
it was a circular ball of light, orange/bright white and it didn't have a
trail of smoke etc., behind it. I thought that it could have been a meteor,
but I've never seen anything move like this object did.

North Bay, Ontario Noticed Two Points Of Light Travelling Together

Shape of objects: Like a satellite would look.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was staring up at the night sky, when I
noticed two points of light travelling across the sky. They were definitely
not planes, as there was no sound or flashing lights. In fact, they appeared
to be exactly as you would expect a satellite to look. What I found unusual
was the fact that there were two of these objects travelling together. At
first they looked to be fairly close (if I held my hand up to the sky, they
were about two fingers width apart), but as they moved, they gradually moved
further apart, as if they were tracing two arc patterns away from one another.
I eventually lost sight of both of them, trying to follow both of them was
difficult! I noticed one light was dimmer than the other.
I have seen satellites on many occasions, but always thought they travelled in
a straight line across the sky. These definitely seemed to be moving in two
different arcs. I don't know if the paths of satellites ever come close
together like I saw last night, and if so, it could explain the sighting.
Whatever they were, I've never seen anything like it before! I would be
interested to know more about satellite orbits and if anyone has ever seen
anything like this.

Naval Station Mayport, Florida Unknown Lights Travelling Fast

Full Description of event/sighting: I work as a power plant mechanic (AD3)
here at NAS Mayport Florida. This was early in the morning of April 30th 2008
while I was working on a pre flight inspection on an SH-60B helicopter, and
when I climbed on the tail to check the tail rotor I just saw this light
moving in the sky. Then I tell my friend AM3 (removed) who was next to me and
asked him about the light and what he thought it to be? When he said that it
could have been a plane or a fallen star I knew that he was wrong. This was no
way near that. I replied to him saying that was an unidentified Flight object
because it was travelling at very high speed at an altitude of more than
40,000 feet and the speed three or four times faster than a regular jet.
We had the chance to see it for just at least 20 seconds but since he
discredited my sighting we just didn't look at the sky anymore. Then we kept
working on the aircraft for a couple of more minutes and when it was already
day light with the sun starting to rise I looked again to the sky and I saw a
very shinny light at the same heading the other one was. Then I saw the
suspiciously light travelling again in the same direction going North, and I
told him again that this was probably the same light and that it was no
aircraft and that on top of that I had seen two F18 heading Southwest early
this week. Now I know why.

Towards Tucson, Arizona Unknown Light Makes Strange Manuvers (UFO)

I currently live in Phoenix right now as I just moved here from San Diego.
Ummm I'm a huge supporter and a fan you can say in researching UFO's. I came
across your pictures for the lights over Phoenix. Now I want to say that I've
grown up all my life around an air force base so I really know what a lot of
aircraft sound and look like not to mention how they move.
Well on May 2nd at 2:31 precisely I glanced out my window to open it up
because it is hot out here. When I opened it up I saw a bright light in the
sky, similar to how bright a planet gets, the only thing is that it started
moving left then slowly came to a stop and immediately changed directions and
went right then slowly came to a stop. Oh and I marked the moving of it on top
of the house next door and it was really moving and fast. At even one point it
zipped straight up then down. Just making impossible manoeuvres in the sky. I
decided to stay up as long as I could to watch it because I was very amazed
and baffled. This went on until about 4:20 to 4:30 when I finally fell asleep.
So if it was anything I accounted for 2 hours of it's manoeuvres and I wasn't
the only one to see it. I woke my girlfriend up and she was in awe by it as
well. I would say it was to the southeast towards Tucson.
Now I would like to say that this is the end of my story, but the weird thing
is that the very next day I looked in the whole sky at 12 (midnight) at night
and nothing was there. Around 2:30 again there it was and I had just some
feeling and there it was. It was not doing the same thing, but moving faster
and more agile and a lot more movement. Now by the scale that I calculated and
I mean a good guesstimate would say that if it was really that far away and
the distance it was moving across the sky, then it was doing that in a very
great speed over a huge distance.

Lake Jackson, Texas A Crescent Shaped Gaseous Object

Full Description of event/sighting: I was sitting on my back porch around
midnight having a cigarette on the night of May the 4th. Something caught my
attention in the sky to my left. It seemingly appeared out of nowhere right in
front of my eyes. An enormous crescent shaped object flew across the sky to
the east right in front of me. I really have no way to judge the altitude this
object was flying at, but I would say it had to have been flying at under
10,000 ft. The object consisted of four huge circular/orb shaped lights
encompassed by a grey gaseous aura. The lights were extremely bright and were
mainly white but had a hint of green and bluish hues. I could clearly see the
huge aura it spread around itself, as it was very contrasting to the clouds
and the night sky.
The gaseous aura was not just the glow of the lights; it was clearly defined
and appeared as a moving cloud or fog in the sky. The four lights moved
together in a way that leads me to believe that this was one object. Their
arrangement in the sky outlined a crescent or boomerang shaped object with a
very rounded curve. The objected flew at an incredible rate of speed, but was
either large enough or flying low enough that I could very clearly see it. The
whole sighting lasted I would say 5-10 seconds, but it feels like it lasted
forever. The object was simply flying so fast that it was gone almost as soon
as I had seen it. I was completely terrified and sat in my chair in what felt
like a state of shock. It made no sound as it flew towards the east. The
weirdest part was the aura it emitted. It was like a puff of smoke moving like
a wave all around the lights while soaring through the sky. I sat in the chair
and stared at the sky for probably 20 minutes. I saw nothing fantastic again,
but a jet appeared about 10 minutes after the sighting heading in the same
direction as the object. It was flying in at a very high altitude, but the
lights on the underside of the plane lead me to believe that it was a military
plane. It was flying very fast and was very loud for the altitude it was at.
This sighting has been sort of haunting me.
To make this all even weirder, earlier in the week as I was driving home; I
noticed two bright lights in the sky. They were just barely visible to me over
a tree line, but they were yellowish-red glowing orbs. Very bright, and very
large. They appeared to be slowly changing their orientation, but for the most
part seemed to remain in the same general spot. I lost sight of them for a
second, and had to pay attention to my driving. The next time I got a chance
to look for the orbs they appeared to have moved to a completely different
part of the sky, and now they had a more vertical orientation to one another
than they did before. The first time I saw them they were in a lined up
horizontally, and this time vertically in a different part of the sky. I lost
sight of them again and was a little freaked out.
Then about 3 minutes later as I was nearing home, I heard a jet and looked out
the window. It was very apparent that it was a military plane. It had the
shape of an F18/16 and was flying very low. At that time I told myself that
the other two lights I had seen were also planes. I told a friend later that
evening and kind of joked about seeing a UFO. After the sighting of the
gaseous object that I saw on the morning of May the 4th, and the sighting I
had while driving on Wednesday April the 30th; I think I've witnessed
something extraordinary. Both times I saw objects in the sky, very shortly
afterwards I saw very obvious military aircraft seemingly chasing them. I have
never seen or heard of anything like the gaseous UFO I saw. It didn't seem to
be a solid object, but if flew across the sky along a straight line like it
were a jet.

Mesa, Arizona A Streak Of Light With Trail

Shape of objects: Streak of Light with trail - makes a Z pattern.
Full Description of event/sighting: I went out to smoke a cigarette at about 1
am on the morning of May 5th. My patio faces south, and I was looking around
the night sky with binoculars (for earlier tonight I had a strange sighting
that continued until I arrived home at approx 11 pm, and only ended an hour or
so ago *12 am*) and just took notice of all the stars I couldn't see with my
naked eye. Venus was at about 10:00 o'clock in my line of sight where I began
standing, and I moved to the side of the patio-putting Venus at about 1:00
o'clock in my sight. I had just put the binoculars down when a flash of light,
up and to my right, caught my eye. I quickly looked up and saw a golden/yellow
ball of light shot through the night sky-it seemed to maintain direction for a
good half second (leaving a trail of light behind it) before quickly slowing
down, making a quick 45 degree backwards movement, and shooting back forward
and disappearing. This whole sequence lasted only a few seconds, but the
trailing/illuminated light left by this movement formed a slightly angled Z
shape (if the top and bottom lines were longer and the / was minimally sized
at best). Best I can describe it is that it shot through the sky appearing out
of nowhere-and seemed to abruptly slow down before kicking back and shooting
away as quickly as it appeared. I thought initially it to be a meteor-until it
made the Z kick and shot off into nothingness.
I've seen a few things very recently that have deeply intrigued me, but this
was unbelievable. I also saw something similar (a huge streak of light) that
was enormous in comparison-but I can't form the description to make it even
remotely believable. It also occurred during a strange night. Over the last 3
weeks or so, there have been a handful of things I planned to report but never
felt urged to. Tonight I got on here and immediately reported it (my first one
ever!)-That’s how incredible this was

Chicago, Illinois A Boomerang Shaped Object
Date: May 6, 2008
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Chicago toward the north sky.

Shape of objects: Changing.
Full Description of event/sighting: At around 4:30pm May 6th 2008 in Chicago,
Illinois (north side), I was riding the EL Train southbound and looked into
the north sky. I saw a boomerang shaped object than just hung in the sky very
far away. It did not seem to make any strong movements at first. The object
hung there for about 5 minutes (or 5 minutes from the time I first spotted
it). Then it started to either shift its shape or turn and appear as a
string-like object. It continued to do this for a few minutes against a blue
sky. It would get smaller and start to fade away as if moving far away or
becoming invisible. There were planes flying and it appeared to be a lot
higher up than them (from my perspective). It looked similar to if you were to
take a piece of string and put underwater- just floating there slowly shifting
(I assume it was very large even though it was far away. It faded away, then
moments later a ball appeared, 'flew' around for several seconds (going one
direction stopping abruptly then shooting off in another) then faded into a
blue sky.
