UFO Sighting Salem Oregon - Travelers From Beyond

Our UFO sighting was in 1988, but it was years before we told anybody. Amongst
ourselves it was rarely mentioned, as if we didn't want to believe it. Being
practical Oregonians, our minds reeled at the possibilities that were
unleashed by the occurrence. Suddenly we had become players in one of the
stories that we could only read about before. I know now what others must have
gone through when they saw a UFO at close range, the incredulity that other
people expressed when we told them. It became a life-changing experience. The
universe seems a different place now, less a barren vacuum of space.
Our sighting wasn't necessarily extraterrestrial, simply a technology advanced
beyond the public perception. What that really means is open to conjecture.
Most radical departures from conventional wisdom have had to overcome the
inertia of the scientific community. One day we will reach out for the stars.
But it is folly to think we will be the first to have done so. I have formed
this opinion only since that night in 1988. I was formerly a person who looked
at the sky expecting only the usual clutter of planes, stars, and the
occasional blinking satellite.
It was a crisp fall night like any other, with errands to be completed. The
sky was clear and full of stars. My wife and I were returning from the grocery
store, driving northward along Fischer Road in Salem, Oregon. It is a
residential thoroughfare that parallels Interstate 5. Out of the corner of my
eye I saw something hovering over the freeway. The unnatural stillness and
lack of visible support for the object had caught my eye. At first I thought
it was a traffic helicopter, which by itself would have been unusual in this
area. As I looked closer at the object, the uniqueness of it compelled me to
pull the car over to the side of the road and stop. I got out and listened
hard for the sound of rotor noise, but there was none. The fact that it was
only about 200 feet away made this highly unusual. The craft had lights about
its perimeter, but the exact outline of the body was strangely indistinct,
like it had a low profile when viewed from the side.
In an attempt to explain the phenomenon, I initially dismissed it as one of
those Harrier jets that can vent the exhaust downward for landing. However,
the quietness of the craft and the fact it was over the freeway made this
impossible. As human beings symbolic logic is our forte. It is one of the
things that distinguish us from lower primates and other animals. But there
was nothing in my experience with which I could represent the UFO in my mind,
so I came up with the best that I could, a rather poor representation of what
I was actually seeing. Later this would become more pronounced, a bothersome
feeling of something totally alien in my familiar world. My wife was also
observing the strange craft. Exchanging glances with her, I got back in the
car and we drove on to Silverton Road, turning left and passing under the
freeway and several blocks westward to our apartment.
As we turned into the parking lot, we both viewed a sight that is still fixed
in my mind like a photograph. There was the hovering craft directly over the
parking lot. It had followed us over from the freeway. I had to drive toward
it as I pulled into our parking spot. We watched in amazement for a few
moments and then decided to get out. There were no bright lights shining
downward, and nobody else outside at the apartment complex at this hour to
view it besides my wife and I. There was just it and the two of us, as if we
had been selected out of a nighttime crowd that was too busy to look upward.
One of my impressions at the time was how unusually easy it was for something
so remarkable to be otherwise unobserved in the dark sky. It appeared that the
UFO inhabitants had seen us watching them, and they were now looking at us out
of curiosity or to see if we represented some kind of threat. At this point
the craft was about 50 feet overhead. I could see clearly it was perhaps
thirty feet across, with a triangular shape that was outlined with small round
lights. There was no significant sound coming from it, only a faint humming
that was barely noticeable. The way it hovered absolutely motionless made it
all the more fantastic. The craft quietly defied all rational attempts to
explain it. It was real, a dark gray triangle floating in a sea of stars. We
stared at it for what seemed like thirty seconds. By now tension had built to
an alarming degree, so we hastened inside our apartment and walked directly
across to the patio door to look out. The craft was slowly moving southward,
building speed with deliberate precision. Its ponderous mass floated like it
was a feather, disappearing in the night sky. Since we had said little during
the event, I asked what my wife had seen as verification. She mirrored my
observations. Looking at the clock, we were relieved to see no time was
missing. I feel privileged to have viewed such an amazing phenomenon. We shall
never forget it.
Was it a secret military prototype, the implementation of Nikola Tesla's later
theories of gravity repulsion, spawned from his confiscated notes? Perhaps.
But at this late date nothing resembling it has surfaced in the news. Or was
it something from beyond our solar system, cloaked in darkness and the
ignorance of our more primitive world?

South Of Marfa, Texas A White Oval Shaped UFO
Date: October 27, 2007
Time: Approx: midday.
Location of Sighting: Approx: 3-5 miles west, north west of U.S. Border Patrol
check point on highway 67, south of Marfa, TX.
Number of witnesses: 8
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Oval.
Full Description of event/sighting: Eight of us were in a church van from our
missionary to Chihuahua MX. We were traveling north on Texas state HYWY 67 on
our return trip to Brownsville TX. I noticed off to our left at an extreme
distance, approx: 3-5 miles west, northwest from our present position just
south of the U.S. Border patrol check point on 67. It appeared to be
stationary, and we watched it for a little under a half an hour hovering in
the same spot approx: 2000-4000 feet up in the air. This continued from a few
miles before we entered the check point, to just after we turned east heading
out of Marfa TX onto state HYWY 67-90. We were all discussing the possibility
of this being a U.S. border patrol surveillance balloon with camera and radar.
But we were not sure what it was. It appeared to be white, and oval in shape.
(An oval dot in the sky, very far away) again, it did not move what so ever,
and we did not see a tether line keeping it stationary as we may have been to
far away to even see the line (3-5) miles distant. It did appear to be rather
large for the distance we were observing it from, as I was trying to get a
bearing from our observation of it while we were traveling, in as best as I
could calculate from our rate of speed, the altitude it appeared, and the
angle it appeared from our constantly moving position. We did not ask the
border patrol guard if he noticed it even though it was plainly visible from
his position. In conclusion we really did not know what its origin was or what
it was, but it was the first time in my life (at 49 years old) that I had seen
something that resembled a flying saucer. We did not take video or pictures of
it as it was really too far away in our camera views to get a coherent image.

New Berlin, Wisconsin Another Report - Large Aircraft Comes To A Stop ?

Full Description of event/sighting: I just wanted to pass along my own
sighting of something odd I've been noticing over the last year or so. This
goes along with what the guy from Roanoke wrote on April 4th. I was driving
with my Daughter near New Berlin, Wisconsin a few months back (December or
January, I can't quite remember) and noticed what appeared to be a large
airplane in the sky. The airplane had an almost ghostly appearance to it. All
I can say is that something didn't seem right about it. Oddly enough it looked
like it was slowing down in midair, which immediately caught my attention
because it seemed to slow down so quickly. My daughter looked up and saw it as
well. Within a few seconds the airplane appeared to have come to a dead stop
in midair. Both of us were floored by the sight of this because it made no
sense really.
It looked like it had stayed put in one place for at least ten seconds before
it continued "gliding" north. I say "gliding" because the manner in which it
moved seemed so smooth, it didn't move like an airplane. I had the impression
that whatever this was had disguised itself as an airplane. Since then I have
seen this occur on several occasions. My daughter had tried to catch it on
camera, but unfortunately the quality was too grainy to see anything definite.
I am not sure if I am the only one seeing this or if there are others. One
thing is for sure, something very strange is going on in the skies these days.

Fullerton/Brea Area, California More Eyewitnesses To Object Falling Then
Stopping

HBCC UFO Research Note: Yet again another good report from the same area where
numerous people watched this very same event. There never has been any mention
in the media about this, which I am actually surprised at due to the number of
witnesses to this one event.
Full Description of event/sighting: That evening I went to check out a used
car I was interested in buying. The ad said the city was Fullerton of the 57
freeway but I'm positive it was the same thing as the other people reported
seeing on that night. Anyway, that night around 6:00pm I was driving the car
in a residential neighborhood, my friend was in the passenger seat and the
seller was in the back seat, suddenly I noticed two round objects with tails
that appeared to be falling, they stopped very suddenly then darted back and
forth a few times. then out of no where a third object appeared as if turning
it's light on then off then appeared again in a different spot in the sky.
This went on for 5 to 10 minutes then two of them seemed to fly straight up
and disappear and the third seemed to just turn off it's light. I have never
seen anything like the objects that were in the sky that night nor have I ever
seen anything move like they did. They were very bright, white-ish, blue-ish
color, their shape was oval like a disc with a tail which looked like a flame
or what was fueling the object. It was very similar to what a road looks like
on a hot, sunny day, like a mirage.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was out walking my dog late at night,
looking at the stars on a clear night when this thing came out of nowhere. It
came out of the black sky, tilted so I can see it was a triangular shape and
then went back into the darkness. Swooped down and back up. No sound. Lasted
about 4 seconds. It was golden in color. And no, I don't take meds or drugs.
This happened on the same night The Endeavor landed, so I thought it was that.
That landed hours before I saw this thing. I've never seen anything move that
fast.

Full Description of event/sighting: It appeared in the eastern part of the sky
low with bright changing lights. It moved slowly with no sound, changed color
and shape. This lasted for about 20 minutes and then was gone. I caught it on
video and pictures this time.

Full Description of event/sighting: I am writing about my ongoing
experiences with missing time.
HBCC UFO Research Note: If anyone has witnessed anything unusual, say a
unusual craft in this area which is given in the report below would you please
contac me with the details of your event. I can be reached at the addresses
at the start of this news letter.
The date was March 23rd, 2008. It was 6:20am that I went outside to have a
smoke while waiting for my morning coffee to finish brewing. As I stepped
outside, I noticed the sky was clear and the sun was below the horizon, but
starting to turn the eastern sky a dim orange color. I happened to look up
and saw a low-flying plane. I would estimate it to have been only about
10,000 feet in altitude, quite low and it was heading northward. There are 2
airports near me in Syracuse and Rochester, about 45 miles to the east and
west respectively. There are no major airports to the north of my town.
The problem I had with this sighting was the fact that the underbelly of the
craft had 2 rows of lights, there were 3 bright, white lights in both rows and
there was a red light behind the rows toward the tail-end of the aircraft. As
it passed, there was no noise and there was no discernible exhaust trail. It
appeared to be gliding through the air. There were wings, but instead of the
usual red and blue lights on either wing. The lights were also white!
As you know, I've written before with instances of missing time before. Well,
here's where things get crazy. I just started my cigarette and the sky was
still dark, except for the faint glow of the sun below the horizon in the
east. Well, the next thing I knew after I sighted the aircraft, I woke up and
the sun was already up and my cigarette was long since gone. I was still
standing in the doorway of the back porch where I usually smoke. When I
finally regained my senses, I went back into the house and read the clock in
the kitchen.....9:30am! How did 3 hours pass me by and how could I have
stayed out in the cold weather for 3 hours without freezing to death? There
is no memory whatsoever of the 3 missing hours. Just before I went blank,
however, I heard the familiar voices in my head telling me, "We're here for
you." I hear these voices each time just before I start missing some time.
The aircraft looked just like a plane with the exception that the lighting on
the underbelly and wings looked like no plane I've ever seen before. The fact
that it flew so low and slowly and in a direction where there are no airports
at such a low altitude and making no sound...it made me wonder if it was a
plane at all!
I felt tired upon re-entering the house and decided to go back to bed. I did
have a headache, but it wasn't there 3 hours prior. And there was an almost
insatiable thirst and I was also feeling slightly nauseous...symptoms that
weren't there when I first woke up shortly after 6:00am. There were no other
physical symptoms or evidence left on my body.
Just a couple of days before this event, my bedroom had been filled with a
bright, blue light and I woke up to see this event. I do not remember
anything more that happened in the night, but when I awoke in the morning, all
battery-operated devices in my room had been drained of energy, TV and
DVD-player remotes, cordless home phone and cell phone....and the house phone
and the cell phone had been plugged in all night to recharge! I had to
replace the batteries in the remotes and cell phone did eventually recharge,
but now the cell phone's battery only holds a charge just long enough for
about 15-20 minutes while in use! The home phone's battery eventually
recharged as well and there seems to be no further problem with its battery.
If anyone saw the aircraft I described above, gliding through the Fingerlakes
region of New York State. I would like to know about it! I can't imagine
anyone missing it if they were awake at that time of the morning.

South Of Rochester, Indiana 6-7 Orange Lights In The Sky

Location of Sighting: West of US 31 South, about 5 miles south of Rochester,
Indiana.

Shape of objects: Orange lights, round.
Full Description of event/sighting: We were driving south on US 31, about 5
miles south of Rochester, Indiana, when my 16-year-old son noticed 6-7 orange
lights in the sky about 1-2 miles west of the highway. The lights were in a
north-south line. They were visible for only a few seconds before they
flickered and disappeared. They re-appeared for another 1-2 seconds a little
farther south before they flickered and disappeared for a second and last
time.

Oxnard, California Over Anacapa Island UFO Appeared To Be Hovering

Shape of objects: Single bright light.
Full Description of event/sighting: I writing in reference to an internet
posting: "UFO sighting in California, many witnesses (no press coverage).
I believe it was in the early evening of March 28th, 2008, around 6:00 p.m.,
while taking an evening walk towards the Pacific Ocean from my home, when I
witnessed the contrail of a bright light falling in an apparent fairly
straight line from a very high altitude. I'd estimate that the top of the
observable contrail was at least 60,000 feet and the contrail followed behind
the light. You could tell it had fallen quite a distance by the dispersion of
the contrail at the top. The light fell approximately over Anacapa Island,
part of the Channel Islands chain off Oxnard, CA until it appeared to abruptly
slow and looked to be hovering about 1,000 feet above the ocean before
disappearing into the marine layer that was forming in the area.

Calgary, Alberta An Orange Baguette Shaped Object

Shape of objects: Baguette shaped.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was stopping at Safeway on the way to
work and noticed a bright orange baguette shaped object toward the east. It
was strangely lit (didn't look like lights from a plane or anything as no rays
were shining off of it). Looked a bit like the sun when setting except for it
was just a bright baguette shaped object surrounded by dark skies. It was low
in the sky (tree line) and not moving at all. I watched for about 30 seconds
and then went in to the store. On the way out (20 or so minutes later) the
object was still low in the sky and looked to have moved slightly. As I was
driving out of the shopping centre parking lot I could see it had moved much
higher in the sky but it didn't appear to be moving at that point. I lost
sight of it as I turned left to drive to work. I have never seen anything like
this before or any UFO sighting for that matter.

South Of Pearson Airport, Ontario A Luminescent White Disc
Date: March 30, 2008
Time: 3:45 p.m.
Today, I went with my son to the Toronto Marlies hockey game to watch
Ontario's hottest and best hockey team in the province, they won 6-1, nice
game to see.
However we left a little late, to get to the game, which started at 4:00pm. At
3:45 while driving south on HWY 427 I spot a luminescent whitish disc. First
time I seen this color in a UFO sighting. It actually looked very close in
color to the clouds themselves. My son actually seen it as well, wild
experience, he's only 4 years old and thinks aliens and UFOs are as common to
us, as baseball is to all the America's.
The location of it was east of Hwy 427 and directly south of Pearson Airport
and HWY 401.We actually spotted it while it traveled past a open piece of blue
sky in the mostly cloud covered day. It had outstanding camouflage in color it
almost matched the color of the clouds.It traveled east to west and rather
slowly for a UFO, but at a steady pace and slower than the planes flying in
the area.We watched it for about 45 seconds while I was driving, then it went
through the clouds and I had to get onto the 401 eastbound and we lost track
of it then. What really bugs me the most, because we left late, I forgot to
take my camera, otherwise I'm sure I would of gotten a close-up of this
daytime sighting.

Calgary, Alberta Large Star-Like Object Moving

Shape of objects: Star type shape.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was outside on my balcony having a
cigarette when I noticed this strange star-like shape in the eastern sky. It
was just sitting there and it had kind of a strobe light effect. It would
flash from green to red and finally yellow. I couldn't figure out what this
was so I got my dad and my brother to come look and when we got outside we
could see an even bigger object in the sky. It kind of reminded me of that
bible story about the three Wiseman following that huge star in search of baby
Jesus. This star was very, very low, and it was stationary for maybe 5 or ten
minutes. Than all of a sudden it started moving Northwest and it was
completely silent and than like that it was gone. What did I see?

Calgary, Alberta A Cluster Of 7 To 9 UFOs

Shape of objects: Round.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was outside, at the back of a building
doing my regular drop of a 53 feet trailer at a loading dock and it was very
dark, so I looked up and as I turned and started walking to the cab of my
truck (which was running 45 feet away). I looked up to try and see a satellite
if there was one crossing overhead. Immediately I spotted a cluster of 7 to 9
objects all the same description and one single object (same description) that
seemed to be about a kilometer directly to the west from the others but fully
in my vision flying in unison south. Each object moved independent of the
others. What I mean is they moved forward/backward and side to side as they
were moving southward at the same fast speed.
They were glowing brightly like a light bulb and were flying at a high rate of
speed making no noise/sound at all.(45 feet away from my truck) The cluster
had 1 object surrounded by the rest except for the other one keeping pace to
the west. The whole time I witnessed these objects, was a ten second time
frame and in that time frame the objects crossed the sky making independent
movement, no noise and the one flying to the west doing the same thing. Then
in a moments time the single object crossed the sky in a straight line and
joined the cluster. immediately after joining they quickly left in the same
direction before they either disappeared or were going so fast I could not see
them anymore.

Roanoke, Virginia Aircraft Stationary At About 500 Feet ?
Date: April 4, 2008
Time: 11:15 p.m.
I saw the same thing today in Roanoke VA at 11:15pm. I seen the lights of an
airplane and thought what's this? As I came closer to the plane I saw that it
was indeed a plane like a 757 jumbo airliner with a large wingspan. It was
pointed at a downward angle and it completely stationary in the sky and about
500 feet from the ground I'd say. Completely visible from the height it was
at. I don't know what to think about this. Me and my wife both seen this and
don't know what to do.
