This batch of sightings are not very interesting but, that's the way the
cookie crumbls I'm afraid.
Most sightings are only seen for a few seconds and then they are gone.
I saw my first UFO in 1954 which lasted about 2 hours, but all these years
later I have seen nothing else.

Alert Bay, British Columbia Three Objects Sit Stationary In 1924

Date: Around 1924
Time: Afternoon.

Location of Sighting: Alert Bay, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Star.

Full Description of event/sighting: Recently I was talking to my 93 year old
father about UFO reports in Canada and I mentioned that I've not yet come
across any before the 1930's. He suggested I tell you about what he and a
friend saw in the 1920's. He was 9 years old at the time.
Late in the school year, probably early June, dad and his best friend decided
to enjoy the sunshine and have their school lunch break outside on the nearby
beach. As soon as they finished eating they lay on the beach behind a log and
looked up at the sky, as school boys might do. Other than a few small clouds
rapidly moving in the prevailing west wind and an occasional seagull the sky
was clear, blue and empty.

Then directly above them they saw three very bright stars in a triangular
formation. They didn't twinkle as night time stars often do. Dad and his
friend were intrigued. Neither of them had ever before seen stars in the
daylight. They looked at them for a while but as the stars just sat there they
soon lost interest. A few times during the lunch hour they took another look
and they were still in the exact same position in the sky.

Several hours later, when school finished for the day, dad looked up and the
stars were still there. By the time he got home and went in for dinner, they
still had not moved.

He mentioned to his parents that he had seen stars during the daylight and
their only comment was to say "how nice, weren't you lucky".

The next day the sky was again a clear blue and the boys looked for the three
stars. There were none to be seen.

So what had they seen?

Being just a child at the time, dad truly believed he was looking at stars.
Flying Saucers and UFO's were unknown. Although weather balloons did exist
they were not deployed in the remote regions of the B.C. coast and even if
they were, they would not have remained completely unmoving for at least five
hours. The thousands of war time balloons from Japan were not sent for
another 20 years. The natural movement of stars would have moved the three
lights across the sky, if they really were stars. If you look at the stars in
the night sky they "appear" to move quite quickly. They would never be in the
same place after several hours. The field of aviation was not advanced enough
in those days to have aircraft that could just sit there and I doubt that
anything so experimental would be found several hundred miles from the nearest
airfield anyway!

Dad is not saying, and neither am I, that the "stars" he saw were flying
saucers. However they definitely were Unidentified Flying (or floating)
Objects. Whatever they were, they made a lasting impression on him as I
recall him talking about the "stars" when I was just a child. Apparently over
the years he often tried to see more daylight stars but never did.

There is just one more part to this story. Perhaps it is just a coincidence.
April 2007 I sent you the missing time event you titled something like "92
year olds missing time Vancouver Island". Well, the missing time event took
place a very few miles from where dad saw his three star like UFO's. Only the
missing time took place over 50 years later.

Gitwinksihlkw, British Columbia A Round Intense Light

Date: 2002-2003
Time: 10:00 - 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Gitwinksihlkw, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round intense light.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were outside smoking and I looked up
behind our village northwest and I saw an intense round shaped light. It
flashed and I said I seen something to my friends. I pointed to where I saw it
and it flashed again while the 3 of us looked. It was like it was just above
the tree line. Didn't look like it was that far away. I know that I never seen
that light before and the two other guys never have either.

Parlee Beach, New Brunswick Star Like And Orange Bright Light

Date: April 6, 2008
Time: 8:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Parlee Beach
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Star like and orange bright light.

Full Description of event/sighting: On Saturday, March 29 2008 ,my husband and
I saw a UFO shoot across the sky and I reported it early in the day on April
06 2008, however I signed off by typing , "to be continued. I hope"! Well,
later on that night at about 7:45 pm my husband and I were walking on the
beach and it was a clear, starlit night. We walked for about 45 minutes,
observing the sky the whole time. I had my flashlight and was flashing it
towards certain stars that look different in colour or brilliance and I
always do a Morse code thing while I'm aiming the flashlight towards these
"stars"and I'll say, "Come on, give us a show"! I repeat this every time I do
the Morse code thing. My husband was getting cold and wanted to go home to
watch the Juno Awards, so we started to make our way back home. We were still
observing the sky when suddenly I noticed,{in the sky, just above an island in
the bay, not far away} a very bright orange "star" I said to my husband, "Wow,
did you see that"? He said, "What"? but was looking in another direction and
missed it. It appeared like a star except it got bigger and much brighter and
glowed orange, then suddenly shrunk back to a tiny dot and disappeared. This
lasted no more than 2 or 3 seconds.

He was sorry that he missed it, so we left the beach area and walked onto the
grassy area when suddenly, we both noticed a very bright and sparkly "star".
It was coming from the direction of the island and was low in the sky and
moving very, very slowly from west to east in front of us. It had a golden or
yellow hue. So I started to do the Morse code thing the whole time we observed
it and kept flashing towards it, when after about 3 or 4 minutes it suddenly
stopped. WOW! We just stood there watching it and I said to my husband, I'm
not leaving yet, I want to see what it's going to do next. It just hovered
there, so after about 15 minutes we slowly walked towards our house and kept
observing it to see if it was going to move again, but it stayed there
hovering for the next 3 hours. It was awesome! It was low enough in the sky
that when it was moving over the bay we could see the stars it passed behind
it. There was absolutely no sound coming from this "star". I had no idea that
when I signed off by typing, "To be continued, I hope"! that we would have
another sighting on the same day. It was amazing and we feel very lucky to
have had the sightings that we have observed since October of 2007.

St. John's, Newfoundland A Black Triangle Hovering Over Homes

Date: April 7, 2008
Time: 12:05 a.m.

Location of Sighting: St. John's, Newfoundland.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Triangle.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving home from the store and
noticed an object hovering above some houses. The object was a black triangle,
three white lights on the bottom in each corner of the triangle, and a
flashing red light that appeared to be on the back of the craft.

Now I thought that with the flashing red light, it must be a helicopter. So I
pulled into my driveway, I quickly got out of my vehicle and observed the
object some more. It started to slowly move across the sky and as it moved it
rotated slowly, then it hit me, there was no sound! None!

I estimate the object to be about 500 meters away from me, and about 100
meters in the air. I felt a strange feeling of excitement and disbelief, and I
knew that the best thing I could do was to observe as much as I could about
this craft. It was about 10 meters on each side (an equilateral triangle
shape) 3 lights in each corner, on the bottom of the craft, and a flashing red
light on the back of the craft.

As it moved about 1 kilometer south, it was slowly rotating as it was moving,
it also appeared to be somewhat fading or becoming transparent at times. It
suddenly moved East towards the Atlantic Ocean and was lost from my view due
to cloudy conditions.

Nehalem Bay, North Tillamook County, Oregon Object Hovering

Date: April 7, 2008
Time: 3:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Nehalem Bay, North Tillamook County.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Jet airliner with no wings.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was inland, about a mile from the ocean,
when I looked to the west, over the river, a point of land, and the ocean, I
saw what I thought was a jet, below the clouds. I thought I was about to hear
a crash, it seemed far too low. As I drove west, towards the river and ocean
the object barely moved and seemed to be hovering over the ocean. I continued
west, the point of land obscured my view, so I headed south hoping I could
still see it. I could, and it slowly headed north, finally going behind
Neahkahnie Mountain. I could hear no sound at all. It was a very curious
thing, looking just like a jet airliner, perhaps the same size, going so
slowly, quietly, and just so low. I went home. As I turned off the highway and
got to a point where I like to look over the bay and the ocean I saw the thing
again, this time heading south, still very low and very slow. It became
obscured by the clouds. This all took place over about a 15 minute period.

I mentioned this to several people, one mentioned that she had seen an odd,
flying object from the beach, just north of Neahkahnie Mt. several years ago.

Barrie, Ontario A Bright Ball Of Light

Date: April 9, 2008
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: North of Barrie/Highway 11.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round.

Full Description of event/sighting: I saw a bright ball of light in the night
sky west of hwy 11 heading north as I was travelling south. I know there is an
airport nearby, but I know it was not an airplane. The object was about 10
times bigger than a star appears and many times brighter. I lost sight of it
as it went north.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Parlee Beach, New Brunswick Orange Light Shrinks In Size And Brightness

Date: April 9, 2008
Time: Evening.

We saw a bright orange glowing light that we observed on Wednesday, April 9,
2008 that lasted about 30 seconds and was in the same area as the sighting of
April 6, 2008. The thing is that after we watched for about 30 seconds, it
just shrunk and disappeared and we waited around to see if we would see any
lights to see if it could have been a plane, but no plane was seen. The first
time that we observed something unidentifiable, was in February of 1991 and we
observed,{in a field behind our house about 300 feet away}three very bright
lights in the shape of a triangle with a red pulsing light in the center of
the 3 bright lights. It hovered there and we watched it for about 30 minutes
or more. It was about 10:30pm on a Sunday night. At first I thought it was a
very low plane about 200 feet above the ground, I thought this because I first
noticed the lights through my Venetian blinds. I told my husband, "come here
and see how low the plane is" but when I pulled the blinds up that's when we
noticed the triangular configuration of the lights. We went outside in our
backyard to listen for the sound it made, but it was absolutely silent, you
could hear a pin drop. It was very eerie and scary. We went back inside the
house and I started to do a Morse code thing with the light switch for the
lights in our backyard, when all of a sudden the triangular object started to
move towards our house very, very slowly and this scared the Sh.. out of me,
so I shut the lights, closed the blinds and locked the doors and continued to
observe through the blinds when suddenly it changed course and started to move
very slowly towards the beach.

Later in that week I was outside pushing my daughter on a swing set in the
early afternoon when I observed a white circular object moving slowly and
silently across the sky. I got spooked and ran home with my daughter. In 2007
I observed a blue orb or light move rapidly across the sky at night while we
were driving home from Moncton, NB. So,! "To be continued, I hope"!

Carlsbad, California Object Moving In A Zig Zag Pattern

Date: April 12, 2008
Time: 10:48 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Carlsbad, CA. Located Over the ocean directly West of
Carlsbad Village Drive.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Hard to tell it is moving very fast with no specific
pattern.

Full Description of event/sighting: The object appeared to be moving in a zig
zag motion, moving in all directions so rapidly it was hard to make out what
object shape it was. The colour was beautiful and bright.

We then noticed a series of other planes taking notice. We thought it could
possibly be the Marines at Camp Pendleton checking things out.

North Surrey, British Columbia Three Lights Heading South

Date: April 12, 2008
Time: Approx: 10:15 p.m.

Witnesses: 1
Objects: 1

I was sitting out on my deck watching the fireworks from the Punjabi
celebrations. The sky was clear and it was quite mild for once. I noticed
quite a few small aircraft circling around and a steady stream of heavies
heading for YVR. After watching for a little while I noticed three lights
heading south towards the fireworks. The object had a steady red light on what
I assume was its nose and a steady white light on the tail, neither of these
lights appeared to be very bright and appeared about the size of running
lights on a small plane. Just above the white light on the tail was a large
red very bright strobe. I at first thought it was a helicopter as the speed
and apparent size seemed to fit in with what I am used to seeing fly around
here.

Trouble was I could not hear it. I was using my binoculars to watch the
fireworks so I swung them over and onto the object. At the time it appeared to
be only a few thousand feet away and I should have been able to see it quite
easily. But all I could see were the lights. A large twin engine airline came
into view heading for YVR and it appeared to be on collision course with the
other object. But in the blink of an eye the object changed from a N.S. course
to a SSW course and at the same time jumped ahead about half a mile. The
airliner passed well behind it. I watched the lights until I lost sight of
them near Boundary Bay. About five minutes later I saw what appeared to be the
same lights heading North and they now appeared to be on the other side of
YVR. At no time could I hear any sound from the object even though I could
plainly hear the fireworks and small planes etc.

Hope, British Columbia Frightening Sounds And Sightings

I have grown here in the city all my life, just recently moved here to the
Fraser Valley, it's serene and beautiful. Through the years my family and
myself have seen strange things not of the normal world. When I was younger,
my father and mother brought me to visit an old familiar campsite near Hope,
B.C. as a young child we camped out there often every year and would go
swimming and fishing near the river, the last night there we found it was
condemned one night, we still decided to remain through the rest of the night
for some rest. My father and mother slept up front of the car while I laid in
the back seat. As we began to fall asleep, we heard the strangest sounds
coming near the creek that crossed into the river late that night. It was very
loud and very close by.

It was no dog, not a bear or owl, no cougar, no coyote or other familiar
animal we know of since we had many encounters with these animals and watched
many animal shows through the years and went camping alot, the sound wasn't
familiar, it was loud enough to wake up both my parents, we sat quietly to
listen, we heard it screaming a couple more times, I was scared and wanted out
of there fast as could be, my father told me it will pass on, whatever it was
seemed curious enough to come near the car, though we were too scared to look
to see, except my father; who I always looked up to and was a strong man, he
went out to scare it off, then whatever it was, left.

I will never forget the sounds it made that clear quiet night. I'm still
curious what it may have been, as curious to why they have condemned this site
even though there had been floods in that area, it still looked the same as it
did besides the rocks carried from the waters, there was also an old house
that seemed to have just been left as if someone has just got up and left
suddenly, it sat right beside the water up a bit on a hill edge, a car or two
sat alone beside it as well as the house that contained many furnishings. We
dare not touched any of it. It's an unpredictable world. We believe to leave
it the way it was found. It seemed odd. That same night while we waited for
this creature to pass on, we heard some lady voice singing, not in words, but
like a humming sound, in the near distance as if it came from that house or
close by the creek, the rest of the area was all forest or river and near a
waterfall but not close enough to hear it.

The lady sounded haunting and it drew closer to us as if she was standing
right above the creek as she sang louder, and her voice was very echoey like,
we also hear wolves yelping close by her as she sang. As it started to get
closer towards us, it brought shivers down our backs and creeped us right out!
We got out of there right away fast as the car would get started. It still
takes my breathe away if I'm talking about this

I have seen TV documentaries about the big foot creature that filmed it's
noise on the last episode of one. It sounded just like what I heard, I never
had a chance to record the TV doc, but I wish I had, since they never filmed
again and i grew tired of re-runs, I hoped to see another newer episode, but
unfortunately they never did. I'm curious to why?

I have seen strange lights with accompany to another person with me that
witnessed the same lights as me one night driving on the number 1 hwy, it was
a green light that sat and hovered then floated fast in the sky. We went to
see my mom, she said the family seen this too after having a BBQ outside that
summer of 1995? I was 19- I'm 32 now and can clearly recall. As a child I
would have strange dreams about UFOs trying to follow me, while I stayed with
my grandmother, they would chase me around her neighborhood in my dream while
I ran to hide to get away from them telling my family that I wasn't lying and
proving to them they were real. That age I didn't know what they were and was
scared like crazy. Hopefully, it is not anything to be afraid of and if these
beings from someplace else are just here to help, if they're real. With being
a mom myself its hard to explain these things to my children who ask me what
UFO's and aliens are and if they are real. I still have no answer for them and
wonder if I should be afraid to tell them I believe they are.
