It is quite fun, really.
I saw the episode of Enterprise, where T'pol used pressure in grammes
/squ cm.
I have become very confused over those Parsecs, though. I used to know
what they were but I think the changed somewhere.
I've just been re reading my 'Early Asimov' where, in the far future we
will have watches that tick and men will use slide rules to plot a
course.
I say 'men' advisedly because, most of Isaac's spacemen are just that,
space men.
His only strong, female character was Dr Susan Calvin, the
Robopsychologist. Other than that, he forecast that the distant future
will be the province of men. Women will stay at home, often for years at
a time.
Of course the universe will operate on GMT, not some American or Franch
time. What do you expect? You stupeed woman!
