Subject: javAPRSSrvr 3.1b01 Released
From: "AE5PL Lists" <HamLists@ametx.com>
Date: Thu, 18 Mar 2004 19:25:21 -0600
X-Message-Number: 22

I have uploaded javAPRSSrvr 3.1b01 to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/javaprssrvr/files

Fixes:

Total packets processed count in status pages was missing looped packets.

Lines beginning with } are now interpreted as third-party packets (these
are caused by bad IGate(s)).

Login SSID's must now be a maximum of 2 alphanumeric characters (bad
SSID's will be trimmed). This only affects the login call-SSID.

Cleaned up spellings in the UserGuide.

Changed copyright year to 2004.

Enhancements:

invalid3rdParty parameter added. If filter3rdParty=false, this
parameter will allow third-party packets which do not contain any
invalid3rdParty entries to pass. This is primarily for future use if
the other server authors update their code to make header parsing and
dupe checking work with multilevel 3rd-party packets. If
filter3rdParty=true (default), then javAPRSSrvr will function as =
before,
eliminating all 3rd-party packets.

Enjoy.

I can confirm that second.aprs.net is down. It went down late
Wednesday night and the auto-restart didn't take. Hopefully a manual
restart will bring it back to life. I have been unable to reach my
contact at the site. If I have no luck on Friday morning, I will try a
back-up contact.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
