Ernie,
If you would go ahead and post the information as you offered, I would
appreciate finding out what you have learned from your 1270 alignment
endeavors.
Cheers,

I red an article somewhere that they were indeed put to use somewhere in
Texas, not sure if it was Austin or Houston. Used both in Voice and Data
mode.

Can someone point me to TNC settings to use an MFJ 1270 as a tracker?
Thanks,

I use a Garmin GPS16 Love it! Cost about $150 and does have WAAS.
As far as a good radio, I have been picking up Maxar80's at the swaps for
$5 each with acc. A set of crystals and tunning you have a 25-50 watt
radio that has a super front end. Nothing like a good old crystal
controlled comercial rig to work for years without failure.

Well, i went to Mountain Home, AR this weekend, and there's actually a
digi in that area (Bravo to that person... didn't know there was a digi
down there, and completely forgot that my tracker was even running all
weekend!)... but There is a big coverage gap between rolla and there, at
least, according to my track on jfindu....
anyway, thanks to all who helped me getting my KPC3+ tracker settings
working...
just a question to those who talk to kantronics about settings and stuff
like that....
any chance there might be a corner-pinning (for lack of a better term, i
forgot what the TinyTrak calls it... i make a turn, it beacons my posit)
might show up in any future release of KPC3+ firmware? or is this one of
those things that might generate a little tooooo much traffic in urban
areas?
