Check the coordinate system. Are you running WGS84 or NAD27? This could
you you off from the location.

I have been looking at locations on findu.com and am getting lots of "Error:
Improper settings" insted of maps.
Some maps show up and some not.
Any idea what is up?

Maybe I'm missing something here...
Findu shows that it has received 4 packets from you, none containing a
lat/long location.

Where else did you check it? I looked at aprsworld.com and it shows a odd
position there too...

Hi.
Just a few minutes ago I noticed that maps generated from MapBlast such as
Findu and the mapping plugins for UI-View show everything outside the US as
completely blank. pcsat.findu.com is a good example of what things look
like. Anyone have any idea what's happening?
In the middle of ... nowhere ...

Finally happened.
For those that do not know, findU does not generate most maps, only a URL
which your browser requests from MapBlast.
The evil empire bought MapBlast about 18 months ago, and shortly thereafter
encrypted the map URL on mapblast.com, referring everything else to the
microsoft mapping site. However, the old mapbast server was alive and well
on vicinity.com, which was the parent of mapblast.
Since then I have been expecting this day, but unfortunately there is no
decent alternative. There are some US sites that could be used, but more
than a third of findU.com's users are from outside the US, and there is not
free alternative. A commercial service to provide the 8 million maps a
month findU uses will cost $250k/yr, obviously not oing to happepr.org>

Perhaps I spoke too soon, hitting reload a few times results in a map about
one time out of ten, so maybe there is just a loading issue on the
server...
