According to Radio & Communications Monitoring Monthly page 69 Feb 2006
Radio Australia has no overseas shortwave transmitters.

The three sites listed appear to be Brandon in Queensland,Shepparton
Victoria and Cox Peninsula near Darwin.

Radio Australia only broadcasts to Asia.

They have no services beamed for europe or North America.

Freq's listed:

9.475
9.500
11.660
11.750 Mhz.

Website: www.radioaustralia.net.au

I can remember in the early 90's listening to them most mornings on 21Mhz,
and I think on 9Mhz at night where they plugged the tx's into some
ABC domestic sports channel (zzzzzz). The former beaibg beamed to europe.

These ABC freqs are:

2.310 Roe Creek Alice Springs Night time only
2.485 Katherin night time only
2.325 Tennant Creek night time only
4.910 Tennant Creek daytime only
4.835 Roe Creek Alice Springs local daytime only
5.025 Katherin daylight only

Remember these are the tropical broadcast bands.

I've heard the occasional report of them being received in the UK.

I've never heard them myself but it then again I've never really tried.

Considering the gazzillions of tropical African stations that I can hear
here at S9+++++ at night it may well be worth a try looking down under.
