Looks like Radio China International and it's roug‚ spooks are playing radio
wars again - just like the bad old days!
18.160 Mhz is in use again ON OUR EXCLUSIVE BAND.
It's prime purpose IS to antagonise and has nothing to do with trying to
find a clear frequency.
However what a useless way to annoy everyone because us amateurs can do
our bit. Just use CW about 800Hz offset from it's carrier frequency, pop
the cw narrow filter in and work DX over the top of them.
Filter in - you don't even know RCI is there.
Ho hum, worked some Japanese stations, VE3, W2 and South Korea (DS), and
some Russians with absolute ease using 100w and my Sandpiper Aerials
antenna on roof of car (the antenna is only 1.5m long).

Those of you who have been HF men for more than five minutes will know
all too well that broadcasting is used as a political tool, as is the
jamming. The broadcast games ARE an indicator of political climates.
I wonder who's upset them now - more of bonnie Prince Charlie's Diary's ;-)

I also noticed yesterday that Iran had it's new OTH radar in use again on
the loose on the top end of our 20m band.
