Notes of interest:
5W - Bill, W7TVF (5W0VF) will go back to Apia, Samoa (OC-097) from 18
November to 9 December. He plans to be active on all bands, 6
metres included (beacon at 50.104 MHz), and will try to operate
also RTTY and PSK31. Those who need 5W on a particular band or mode

CT3- Eight operators from the Lufthansa Amateur Radio Club will be
active (on 160-10 metres SSB, CW and PSK) as CT9DLH from Madeira
on 7-11 November. QSL via DL4FP. [TNX 425DXN]
IOTA NEWS...
AF-018. The M/M branch of the "Tikirriki Contest Club" will be active
again during the next CQWW DX SSB Contest as IH9P from Pantelleria
Island (African Italy - CQ Zone 33; IOTA AF-018; IIA TP-01; WAIP
TP and DCI TP-007). Operators will be DF4OR, EU1SA, EW2AA, JA3USA,
K3PN, KR7X, W7ZB, OL5Y, I2IFT, IK2ANI,IK2CIO, IK2HKT, IK2RZP,
IK2SND, IK2YCN, IK7JWY, IK8ETA, IN3QBR, IN3SAU, IN3XUG, IN3ZNR,
IT9BLB, IT9WPO, IT9ZGY and IT9ZMX. They are expected to arrive on
the island on October 19th. Some CW, RTTY, SSTV and PSK31 activity
will be possible before the contest using their personal callsign
/IH9. This operation is widely supported by "Sezione A.R.I. di
Bergamo" and "I.T.C. Industria Tecnica Cavi". QSL via KR7X. Their

EU-183. Pit, YO3JW, will be active from Sacalinu Island between October
13-19th. Activity will be on the usual IOTA frequencies. His
callsign will be YP1W. This will be a low power style operation
(no linears) using a vertical or inverted V antenna. He will
also try RTTY and PSK31. QSL to YO3JW. Operators YO9XC and YO9WF
are expected to be with Pit. [TNX OPDX]
V47- Following was received from Larry:- "Dear friends, I am now back
in my house after living in an apartment for 8 months. My address
is 3528 Oak Grove Court, Haines City, Florida 33844-9298.
If anyone has qsl'd KJ4UY or V47UY via KJ4UY and has not received
a return qsl, please send again to this address and I will be glad
to confirm the qso. I'm sure some of my mail was not forwarded to

ZB2- GIBRALTAR. Wolfgang, DH3ZK is QRV as ZB2/homecall until October 21.

ZONE 2 - Following was received from NB1B:- "I will be going as part of
a CQWW SSB DXpedition to CQ zone 2 from Tuesday, Oct 22 to Tuesday
Oct 29. Outside the contest I will be QRV on PSK31, RTTY, CW, and
SSTV. If someone needs to work Zone 2 on any of the above modes I
will be happy to give them a contact. The callsign on PSK31, RTTY,
and SSTV will be VC2C. CW callsign still to be determined.

on October 27, 2002 From 8:00 PM until 2:00 AM YOUR LOCAL TIME.
