The Field Day exchange is the Class and Section, for Class 5A you would send
5A MI for instance.
Go to the arrl web site
http://www.arrl.org
for complete rules.

Good morning Ken and the group. I look forward to working you on field day
Ken as I will probably be spending quite a bit of my time in that mode
(hopefully the new vertical will be up by then).

The May QST has the complete rules for FD but even better is to go the the
League website, click on the "Info and Services" link left side of page, Go
down to the On The Air section and click on contest. You will find all you
need right there.

Good luck on FD and I hope to work quite a few of you during the contest
(hope it is better cx than what I had during the ANARTS contest last
weekend).

73 all and good hunting,

Larry Van Horn

As my desktop computer is a wonderful broadband signal generator designed
to jam much of the HF spectrum, yesterday I purchased a used Texas
Instruments Travelmate 4000 laptop to use with PSK-31. What caught my eye
is it already had a built in soundcard. What also caught my eye was the
under $50 price tag and the unmistakable words DOES NOT WORK.

For once I got exactly what I paid for. Forensics are now underway on the
kitchen table and the problem seems to be with the internal power
supply/battery charger board.

First chore is to get the battery charged. Does anyone on the list know
what the nominal battery voltage is for this series laptop? Since this is
not a question relating directly to PSK-31, you can contact me off list
at axeco@juno.com

Many thanks,

72/73 de Dave W7AGJ

OK Gang--where is everybody going to work PSK on FD??
20M will probablly be hosed up,so I'm thinking 15M/10M daytime,and 40M
evening?

Also,I'm planning on programming the Macro keys for FD format by creating a
SECTION Macro ,to replace the NAME Macro...

We plan to keep the contacts short and to the point--exchanging just Station
and Section confirmations----like a CQ contact--at least during the earlier
stages of the contest. This should make it easier to work more stations
quickly,and free up the
spectrum for everyone to participate without having to wade through,"weekend
qsos".

I'll be on 10M/15M and 40M this evening and Saturday, fine tuning the antenna
and seeing how the bands are holding up...

The Oklahoma City Autopatch Associations (OCAPA) will be operating PSK from
Midwest City, OK. We plan on using DigiPan with a backup of WinPSKse and
WriteLog.

Works for me but I'll probablt try 80m at night as well. But don't count 20
out. I worked most of my PSK31 contacts on 20. Wasn't enough CW or other
digital there to really cause a problem.
