impedance mismatch? Perhaps, a diminished signal level into the

signal with a resistor(s) first and THEN use the wave/master output controls
to fine tune your signal.
The down side of using your wave/master output controls by themselves is
twofold:
1> If you happen to forge to turn them back up your wife my be in a quandary
as to why the computer doesn't talk to her anymore.
2> If you forget to turn them down you may well damage your radio with the
excessive voltage being sent through the input!
The impedance mismatch is of little significance otherwise none of us would
ever get on the air.

If you remove the sound card again and look at the board close to
the input/output sockets, you might find a couple of jumpers.
Look closely and you might possibly see that the speaker out
can be jumpered to a Line out.

HAVE BEEN SEVERAL MS BURSTS THAT WERE LONG ENOUGH TO COPY CALL SIGN AND GRID
SQUARE. I FEEL THAT EXPERIENCED MS OPERATORS WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL WITH PSK31

Hmmm...how about EME reflections? That should be pretty stable compared to
meteor scatter, and could REALLY benefit from the weak signal capabilities
of PSK, couldn't it? Has anybody with those huge EME setups tried a PSK contact
yet?

Re no "line out" on SB16:
My quite ancient (1994) SB16 has a set of jumpers on the card which
bypass the on-board speaker amplifier, turning the "speaker out" into
a proper "line out". That is how I use it. Check your SB16 manual,
look at the card, or perhaps see www.soundblaster.com to see if you
card has these.

Hello all,
Perhaps is Feldhell an nice try for MS and EME.
Even the Psk-Hell mode at 245 baud and or 105 baud could perhaps survive the
phase/dopllershifts.
I know that some years ago PA0SSB has made tests with Feldhell (on/off
keying) on EME and it worked quite nice.
Has someone tried this ?

Hi Joe. I wonder if you have an eMachine. That's what I have and am
having a littletrouble getting this thing going. The sound board does not
have much in the way of audio. I don't think they use a soundblaster.
