Iain,

I used a fixed attenuator for awhile. I started with 10K in series with the
output from the sound card and 1K in parallel with the mike input.
It's going to vary with whether you use the mike input or an AF input on
the rear panel with less gain. I was trying to use my VOX through my mike
input, and that was too much attenuation, so with a resistor substitution box,
I ended up with 6.8K and 1K. I had mixed results with that, so I went to
a 50K pot, so I could adjust it. The circuit in May 99 QST uses a 50K
pot, and that works well. I use the 50K pot and PTT now.

Subject: [psk31] Sample Rate??

Just getting started on the receive side of WinPSK and I find it a great

program. However there is on strange thing happening.

When I start the program all is fine.

If I close the program and restart -- a message comes up saying:
"??? Maybe input is being used at a different Sample Rate."

Only by rebooting the computer can I then get the program to work.

Any ideas will be welcome.

Thanks

Subject: [psk31] PSK DX Calling freq ?

I wonder if there is , if not... perhaps there should be , a DX calling freq
for the PSK31 20 band segment ?

I enjoy a QSO with North Americans but every now and then would like to look
for DX.

Andy.
