Hi Bob KG7WC, I use psk with an IC756 works real well. I take the audio from
the rig at the acc1 socket at the rear pin 5 this gives a level of audio
signal regardless of the audio gain control. For TX at the moment I connect
the line out from the sound card into the mike socket and switch the vox on.
Adjust the PBT to its narrowest setting gives good selectivity.
Hope this is helpfull 73 and hope to work you on psk.

I will be listening to 3.600 after 2000Z this evening
RTTY or PSK31 if anyone wants to try. I would like to
try out my new antenna. Thanks.

Subject: [psk31] QSO announcements

Although I tend to direct not too much the contents of the list, I have
received some complaints about the use of the list for QSO preparing and
scheduling and I'll try to give some guidelines about this.

The list should be used to prepare schedules that are potentially interesting
to many people, for example: announcing especial activities like contests,
searching a partner for a new frecuence or mode, as satellite...
But I really think that this is not the place to say to search for personal
QSO of the kind: I'll be here at this time!!.

Before sending a message to the list, everybody should think about the fact
that a message sent to the list gets sent to more than a thousand people.
Many of these will receive all the messages of the day packed once a day,
perhaps later than it's usefull. Many of these people work at that time,
many of them also want be in the area of coverage...
Also when making an announcement, you should think if the time window you
propose is rigth. I think that nowadays it is really easy to get signals on
the air.

So, now on, please don't use the list to setup ordinary two persons schedules.

WWHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!
Seems to me some little babies have nothing better in
life to do then whine about what others do. GROW UP
!!!! and get a life for crying out loud. Actually the
listening announcements do interest LOTS of people. I
have lots of folks come down and qso. I get lots of
email from from others who have tried but not been
able to make it. Lots of folks do like to use other
bands when they know someone else is going to be there
to talk to.Its a waste of time to CQ when no one is on
the band. The list provides a means to make that
known. Everyone seems to be on 20. My suggestion is
that those cry babies who like to whine leave the
list. But since I am sure the whiners will get thier
way, I am leaving the list. I'll be listening around
7080 or 3580 most evenings and on weekends. It's been
nice chatting with the "Adults" on this list on the
air and hope to hear you guys agn on 40 & 80. If
others are interested in starting another PSK31 list
like this one only where QSO's and other things can be
discussed without the whiners, drop me an email. If
there are enough interested I'll be glad to set up a
list on egroups. Tkae care !!

I hope this means we will no longer have to put up with your inane diatribes
on the "Official" PSK reflector!!!

But then, what whould one expect from someone who sees the 13 wpm cw test as
the great "qualifier" to eliminate "unqualified operators" from the ham
bands. Oh great "QUALIFIED" one...have you been on 75 meter sideband
lately????

From an "Unqualified" Tech +....you know...the ones that make 2 meters sound
like CB in Virginia. I guess the "Unqualified" Tech's and Tech +'s in Texas
just have better manners.
