Hi Friends,
here is an excerpt from the PSK31 "Official" home page, to make more
certainty. Besides, I found that activity on 21 MHz is multiple splitted,
and 28 MHz is worth checking 28.070, 28.080 and 28.120 for current
activity. Anyway, I would be the most happy guy to have the range filled
with psk31 signals spread smoothly along the band, leaving space for the
spurious signals of the currently working stations.

Proposed frequencies for PSK31 QSO
- The plan for PSK31 activity has always been (since PSK31 started just 3
years ago) to concentrate activity starting from the bottom edge of the
IARU
RTTY bandplan, expanding upwards as activity increased. The exception
is in
the 10mts band in order to give non full privileges ham to meet. It was
defined
as 150 Hz above it. Keep in mind that all you need is about 100 Hz as
channel
separation.

I haven't heard activity on 080 yet, but there is lots of activity on
both 28070 and 28120 +/-, more on 120.

There's a problem with the plan when it isn't followed for some reason.
I'd love to see set calling frequencies used when there is a lack of
activity on bands, but it isn't happening in all areas. I think part of
the reason is the extreme difference in activity in a given section of
band in different areas of the world. For instance, I tune every
evening on 7038 and hear very weak pactor, some sideband, and tons of
"local" CW so strong you can't deal with the weaker stuff from over the
pond. While south of the border sideband is strong on 7070, the psk
signals are very competitive from the US. I don't really feel you can
have one frequency on this band for psk. You need to check what is
working in different areas. If some areas can't work a frequency due to
regulation, it looks like we'll learn to run split on this mode too.
