Hi all,
I have become very interested in PSK31 recently for many reasons, but the
primary reason was to take advantage of the low power ability of this mode.
I have been following the reflector for some time now to get educated and
hopefully become an intelligent user of the mode.
Unfortunately, lately all I see are topics completely unrelated to the PSK31
mode. I hope this is just a short lived fad and we will all soon get back
on track. I for one don't like to have all the useless garbage clogging up
my e-mail system.
I do appreciate and enjoy the articles concerning the mode itself.

ATTENTION ZL's & VK's
Most of my PSK contacts (and probably yours), have been on 14MHz with
21MHz a close second, and just this week had my first PSK contact on 28
MHz with EA2HB.
BUT NIL SO FAR ON 3.5 & 7 MHz! - so what say we start some PSK activity
down here at 'bottom of the world' on 80m?
FIRSTLY - we would have decide on a common frequency - although 3580 kHz
is supposedly the 80m 'official nominal frequency', but on 21 and 28 MHz it
seems that 21070 and 28070, (just like 14070) are the preferred freqs and not
the 'offical nominal freqs of 21080 and 28120 kHz.
So why not use 3570 kHz for ZL/ZL/VK/VK contacts - what say you all?
SECONDLY - rather than a VK/ZL net, what about an activity session, for a
start, say one day a week for a couple of hours in the evening when, we could
endeavour to congregate around 3570 or whatever freq is preferred, and just
have one to one qso's or even group qso's, however it works out.
Some regular PSK signals on 80 or 40 would possibly stimulate some more
interest in the mode in ZL & VK, as I'm sure most ops have never heard of the
mode or heard the mode in action!

Hi Frank. Big Ditto. I have been trying for a long
time to generate interest on 40. I send a post to the
list when I am monitoring 7080. I usually have 4 or 5
folks come down for a qso then. Unfortunatly

Dont know where ZL2 is but I dont think you and I
could make it on 40M. :-)

I've had one contact on 80m and 160m, both prearranged via internet. I
check the 3580 frequency in the evenings and hear nothing at all. If
you get a frequency decided, please let me know and I'll be there to
help drum up activity.

Why just for ZL/VK? Why not all? All we really need is a standardized
area of the band to look for people and monitor for activity.

Good idea. Come up with a zulu time/day and let us know so we can look
for you. Maybe some of you could try for grey-line with Stateside
stations? I don't have the time zones handy to know what time to try
for, but would certainly try meeting any schedule you might set up.
