Assuming USB then your frequency is 14072.45Khz. But is LSB then
14070.85Khz. This is why it is best to state your actual operating
frequency (14072.45 ?) and not the dial frequency. Hope you have a good
turn out.

Logger 6.09 TIPS

Logger 6.09 has a plethora on really nice Cut 'n Paste features in it. Here
is how to use some of them, under Windows 98.

1. With the availability of moving text to/from the clipboard, make a short
cut to the Clipboard viewer available in the System Tool Tray by:
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Clip Board Viewer (keep Left click
button closed) drag "Clip Board Viewer" to the System tool tray.

2. Make your word processor available while running Logger:
Start/Programs/Microsoft Word (keep Left click button closed) drag Microsoft
Word (or your favorite word processor) to the System tool tray.

3. Use your word processor to augment Logger.

3.1 While using Logger, Highlight text to be copied to the clipboard. You
can Mouse over wanted text (press "Insert" key first to freeze the receive
screen). Then [ctrl][Insert] to copy to clipboard. To see what you placed
on the clipboard, single click the clipboard icon in your system tool tray.
Back in your word processor type [shift][insert]. This will paste the data
from the clip board into your word processor. Edit data.

3.2 Select all [ctrl][A] now paste all this data to the "Paste Buffer"
[Ctrl][C]

3.3 Go back to Logger. Paste the edited data to one of your PSK31 macros by
selecting an unused button, then type [Ctrl][V] OR paste directly to the
Transmit Buffer [shift][insert]. Now the next time you "transmit" this
edited text will be sent to your contact or be available as a hot key.

4. While we're at it, You might want to make your "Download" folder
available also in the system tray by dragging and dropping a short cut to it
in the system tool tray also. I have additionally placed a short cut to my
mail client (Outlook 98) in the System tray. While I am on the Internet I
can see the latest download (and manipulate) without closing my Web
Browser. You can cut 'n paste from the Internet to Logger, while you are on
the air, if you really want to go wild.

Did I see somewhere on here, in the past, reference to using PSK31 on 2
meters FM? A local Tech without H.F. privileges wants to try it out with
me. I thought I would check here and see what experience folks have had.

I thought I remember reading that the ACCY2 is not active unless it's keyed
from that 13 Pin DIN as well. Older Kenwood radios had an RFI problem
associated with the ACCY2 port.

Dear Alain,

It has been a long time since you and I have collaborated on the Bearing /
Distance programs. How have you been?

In regard to pin 11, it will work for audio input from the sound card. However,
you must also key the rig by grounding pin 13 (PTT) and VOX will NOT work with
use of pin 11 for audio input. Another possible problem with pin 11 - do not
use the pin 12 for ground return - it is not a good ground - use pin 8 for all
grounds between the computer and the transceiver.

It is very good to hear from you again.
