Hi to All !
I have a few questions about packet radio in poor countries.....think
about it !!
Why is ham radio a secret on 9600 baudrate modem diagrams.It makes me
sick to browse the intenet to look for FREE 9600 baudrate modem to
build.All the info I get,you must pay in Dollars !!!! My hobby is not
fun anymore, I want to build things to use in my hobby.I can find alot
of modems on the market,BUT you must pay! THAT IS WHY OUR HAMS IS STILL
ON 1200 BAUDRATE.
With new tech on the market you will see that even Cel phones is using
high speeds to a computer via infrared.We are stuck on 1200 baudrate via
ham radio.
I am looking for diagrams of hams that would like to premote a quicker
baudrate on packet radio.Please remember,there is countries that can not
afford ham radio equiptment from overseas.This forms a chain reaction in
ham radio.Together we can promote our packet radio to a higher baudrate
via radio.
I did built a YAM modem but is not happy with its performence.
