Subject: *** AIR FRANCE CONCORD UPDATE ***

It took them eighty years since World War I, but
the French finally figured out how to kill Germans.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

New Concorde schedules from Air France:-

Depart Paris CDG 1700
Arrive Hotel Gonesse 1703

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Q.) What would the captain of the plane be doing today if he hadn't
been killed?

A.) Scratching weakly at the inside of his body bag.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Wealthy German tourists love the Hotel Gonesse. They drop in all the
time.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Q.) How many wealthy German tourists can fit into a VW Bug?

A.) 100. Four in the seats, 96 in the ashtray.

There are packet gateways available at my site that may help

Subject: YAM/9600

I'm trying to set up a YAM for 9600 but I'm having a bit of trouble.
The maximum output on 9600 is about 20mVp-p, but the manual
for my FT-847 says that its maximum input on 9600 is 2Vp-p.
Hence, when the YAM transmits all I hear is silence.

It works OK on 1200; I just connected up to the local NET/ROM
node on 2m OK.

So is the FT-847 especially power hungry (2Vp-p?), or is there
something wrong with my YAM?

thanks,

Hamish
