I would like to use my visor (palm OS) to access newsgroups, however my ISP
requires password to access this ng, and my palm software doesn't have the
required fields.

They will be read-only or post-only; to access alt.* groups like this
one, you can't get both read & post access reliably in an open to the
world (no login) free news server. Still interested?
