HELP, after a while I would use my Alan RMD1200 packet modem again... But
now it is not working anymore....
What can be wrong?? I tested ith a port-tester, and signal is comming into
the modem, but it doesn't react. No transmission and no reception of
signals. And I can hear signals comming from the transceiver very clearly,
when I turn on the speaker.
Is there anybody who knows what I can do, except buying a new one....
Thanks,
Robert

Gerry.
Not much Amtor on the band nowdays and most Pactor contacts are MBOs.
However tuning is the secret whenever you're trying to tune a mode.
If you look for a full spread on the Mark and Space display on the PK-900
when you're tuning RTTY, you'll find that'll be the easiest way to find a
signal. Also keep in mind in Pactor mode, since it's a linked mode, it take
a few seconds for the TNC to sync with the signal while recieving in the
non-linked mode.
The PK-900 also has SIAM mode, which will allow the TNC to figure out the
signal for you.
