Subject: Flexnet & Ensoniq soundcard - How ?

Can anyone tell me how to get Flexnet to work with a Creative Ensoniq PCI
soundcard, in Dos and Win98 ?

I've managed to get it to send data in Dos, using BCT but it just won't
receive. SMDIAG does not help either, since I get no trace on the screen
even though I hear the audio on my soundcard output.

I'd like to get this thing running in Windows 98 on VHF at 1200baud packet
to connect to my local BBS, but at the moment I'm pulling the hairs out of
my head.

Any suggestions for the Ensoniq PCI soundcard ?

Subject: GPS12MAP: adding maps?

I recently got a GPS receiver, model Garmin GPS12MAP. The instruction
manual mentions that it is possible to download cards of precise
geographical areas, but the only compatible maps are those of the serie
"MapSource" software from Garmin, according to the manual. Is there a
trick or a technique to also download other type of maps or custom maps,
as those which one digitizes oneself or those of QuoVadis or Delorme for
example?

I am planning a travel to Europe in a near future. I have read in a
previous posting on this newsgroup that there is an International
BaseMap version of the Garmin GPS12MAP. Is it possible to download the
International update firmware and transfer it in my "US" GPS12MAP, just
as we usually update it with a new firmware release (2.04 these days)?
If so, could I transfer back the usual "US" BaseMap after? Where could
I find the International file on Internet? On Garmin web site
(www.garmin.com) I only found US firmware upgrade.

Thank you in advance for the infos.

firmware.

Merci à l'avance pour les infos.

If anybody knows, where to find any info about it...
I've seen (once upon a time) very good recipe, but now I can't find it
again. Any suggestions (or URLs)?
