Anyone disagree? For soundcard packet. FlexNet works and AGW
doesn't. I don't mean just run. I mean work.

It works with:-
P200MMX + 64Mb
Win98 SE
Sound Blaster 16
It also works with:-
K6-2/450 + 64Mb
Win98 SE
Onboard "SB16 compatible" sound, on a cheap motherboard of unknown
origin.

Roge, what's your definition of working. You stopped a little
short there. What kind of long term use do you have with AGWPE
(RUNNING VIA SOUNDCARD) and with what apps???

For several days at a time. The apps don't really come into it, because
AGWPE is effectively a "firewall" between the app and the hardware.
However, I have used it with both WinPack and UI-View.
What I don't think you've yet told us is exactly what PC hardware you
are using, which is a critical point in anyone's assessment of how well
or not a system works.

The only problem is that the latest driver for the baycom modem doesn't
work. So you can't use a 16550A comport for the baycom modem.
You have to get a 15550 comport or similair and use the baycom driver
from flexnet 3.3f
Flexnet is the best perforimng ax25 driver for windows avaliable, agw and
bpq are nothing but crap. You will notive a major difference if you use a
soundcard packet modem.
> Do you also have TCP/IP working?
It works but I don't use it.
Not useable if you only run 1k2 paccket, but for speeds over 9k6!

No.

Subject: Kantronics KPC3 help
I got no response from kantronics other than a statement saying no manuals
were
available for download, and a suggestion to upgrade the firmware for like $50.
I knew about both the 3 ^c's and the jumper, the jumper works (if i wanna take
it apart every time i come back home and wanna hook it to the computer) but I
cant make the 3 ^c's work for nuffin. *sigh* maybe i'll just leave the cover
off
it.
