I'm reminded of a similar question for which the following answer was
given: "Of what use is a baby?"
All the operating modes have value to those who use them at a personal
level. I prefer morse code. I can't tell you what value it has or what
it might be good for other than it is what I prefer. Who really cares?
Why do they need to be justified?

Didn't say it wasn't useful, nor did I say I received no benefit.
Just said that those are not deciding issues. It's a hobby.
I'm using packet radio right now, to post this article.
Why? Because it is fun to do it that way.
