Came to the same conclusion myself today. I'm scanning right now.
Haven't heard a packet since I crossed into Cook county on any of the
frequencies I'm scanning, tho.

I have recently acquired a KAM (not Plus) but didn't get Hostmaster with it.
Hostmaster Plus will not run with it. Does anybody have, or know where I can
get a "regular" copy of Hostmaster I can use until I get my KAM upgraded
with the Plus board?

Yes I was reading in the recent issue of CQ mag. They had an article on
converting an MFJ TNC to run as a node. Could you please inform me as to
what that is exactly?
Thank you

are you referring to running the tnc as a digipeater?
this is one of the capabilities, such as with the mfj 1278.

Please remove the word 'NOREPLY' from the email address, sorry for the

Hi Iain
I've just found this newsgroup and just read your msg. I live in the north
east of England also. I'm a G7 and was very active on packet but not for the
last year or so. I hope to remedy this shortly. You may have already
received your answer to this query but if not drop me a line and I'll see
what I can do for you. Good luck with the RAE.
