Subject: Adapting telephone modem to packet?
Just a curiosity of mine.
I have an old 2400 bps telephone modem that I inhereted along with a
currently non-functioning 386 computer. Would it be possible to use
the IC's in this modem to create a packet modem? Are there any schematics
out there that demonstrate how this could be done?

I'm interested in this packet > internet gateway. Will it be for convering
also????
Myself and Allan MM1BJP have thought about it at Paisley uni where we are
and have just finished so we had no time to set it up but if you can get
something setup I'm sure the local packet users would be greatful.

I'm trying to find an old friend who's a truck driver, I've lost contact =
with him, but I need to talk to him urgently about something
very important, he's name is Victor Sanchez, he's original from =
Colombia, 38 years old, about 5 or 6 feet tall and around 160 pounds

Is there anyway that someone here could send a message using a radio =
with the same frequency or whatever the truck drivers use to help me =
find this guy?
The last time I heard from him, he was living in Texas, I believe =
somewhere around Galveston, but I'm not sure. It could be anywhere on =
Texas. His personal car is a 92,93 or 94

are some pictures that I can e-mail on request, in two of them he's =
standing up right next to a black Kenworth truck, with the name MC Van =
Kampen Trucking Inc. on it, and truck number 559, Michigan license plate =
RM 2957. If you know Victor, please e-mail me with information on how to =
get back in touch with him, my e-mail is as follows: =

Your cooperation regarding this matter is greatly appreciated, it is =
really important that I find him as soon as possible.
