Steve,
Thanks for your response. I purchased a Phillips Velo 1 and I have a
KPC3+ also. Great for mobile stuff. There shouldn't be any problem with me
using the Term program that's installed w/ the Velo 1 should there? Though I
have to admit, my main concern is making the cable for the device. Just how
does your Psion hook up to the KPC? Does it have a full size serial port or
a special port that is labeled "serial".

I don't have anything on my web page about it but I do take my packet on
the road with me.
I'm using my Psion 3c, KPC 3+, and either my Icom IC-W32A or my Yaesu
FT-8500. I use either PocPac or Nfsc as a term program. It took me a
while to get around to fixing my serial cable but other than that it's
very straightforward.
Now if I could only find a site with all active nodes throughout the
US... (I have the gateway list).

Any basic terminal program for that system should work. I think there's
one built in, but my memory sometimes isn't as good as it should be. ;-)
Anyway, if you get something like a KPC-3, a decent handheld, a cable
between the KPC and the HT, and a plain old modem cable for the T200, you
should be set. The KPC-3 can run on a 9v battery, so that whole lash-up
should be self-contained for a FD operation.
I haven't been on CompuServe for over a year, but last time I was there was
a Tandy Model 100 forum (also supported the 200) which had quite a bit of
software available for download. Might be a good bet. CompuServe offers a
100-free-hours promotion these days (since being bought by AOL), too.
