They should have used function 4c00h, which is exit program, and it would have
exited the dos box correctly.
This is a perfect example of why many DOS programs won't work under Windows.
Function 0 is a holdover from the CP/M days and should never have been used
after DOS 3.0 appeared.

Subject: tcp/ip on packet
hello all,
i am relatively new to the packet scene, and i am interested in getting
two machines talking at at least 19.2k over 2 meters. running tcp/ip over
this link is a necessity.
can anyone suggest a tnc/modem/radio/software combination that would meet
this requirement? i am aware that speeds of up to 57.6k are possible, for
a price. any information or advice would be very much appreciated. i
have been to probably 40 sites in the past few weeks, and while there is a
tremendous amount of information out there, i am still confused when it
comes to certain aspects of the hardware. what i'm asking is for someone
to suggest a turn0key solution :)
thanks all, and take care.
jason

I missed all of the previous posts except the msg from Paul Shayler,
(Thanks to MSN). But, I have a Casio Casiopia that I use on packet,
and I don't have any problems with RFI.
