I am very interested in the Upcomming P3D Satellite by AMSAT.

I am wondering how many people out there are thinking of communicating with
the satellite at 9600+bps. Apparently the DSP Modems can go as high as 56k
on the satellite.

Please reply/email me.

Subject: Packet in a WAV file?

Hi
This may seem an odd question but can anyone email me a WAV file with a
couple of packet frames recorded of a quality that AGW packet engine (with
Soundcard modem) will be able to decode? I need it for testing purposes.

Anything with some text being sent and received included would be good, and
if you could record a decent few overs it would be appreciated.

Subject: Packet performance

Hi,

Being a total newbie to packet, I'm still trying to find out basic info.

Is it possible to create a "point to point" link using a set of 56k/s
setups? What sort of tcp/ip performance would you see on something like
this? In terms of throughput and/or latency (ping times)

Any help would be really appreciated!

Regards,

Jan

At one time. the source code to the DOS based Pacterm is on the disk. Perhaps
compiling it and running it through the debugger will show you where the fault
it.

It's written in assembly, so you'll need MASM to compile, Link to link it and
exetobin to put it into a .com file. Codeview can help you step through it and
that way you can find the problem in the program and be able to fix it.

The problem is that when it exits, Pacterm 2.0 uses int 21h function 0. This
is the terminate program function, and has problems under Windows.
