I get no ping replies from gw.ve1smu.ampr.org, ve1smu.ampr.org, etc, but
I do get replies from ampr.org and other xxxx.ampr.org sites. I don't
think ve1smu is up and running.

Can anyone not inside the AMPR.org system access
http://gw.ve1smu.ampr.org/ ?
I have been trying for 4 days without success. I have
asked my ISP and they have tried from several places in
the US without success.
Help?

ONLY in America, could a man who clearly
stated his "Loathing of the military" be elected
President and Commander-in-Chief by the adoring
voters of his party - and THEN with no discernable pangs
of conscience, send THEIR sons and daughters to fight
and die in the EXACT same sort of conflict HE so cowardly
avoided and demonstrated against... It's no wonder so many
in our military despise HIM so much in return!

No joy from here -- but I think it's because the gw to the ampr.org is
designed to not allow traffic to flow. Here is a traceroute from me to
your address (I've lopped off the first few lines which are not
relevant to the discussion -- they just show the hops before the trace
got out into the 'real' internet).
