URGENTLY REQUIRED - A VOLUNTEER TO EDIT YOUR JOURNAL, QRV
After only one edition, Alex, G3XHK, is unable to continue as editor.
The August edition is almost complete but we do need someone - preferably
with experience of Microsoft Publisher and with a CD Writer - to finish
the
job and continue to edit QRV in the coming years.

RAFARS QSL BUREAU
David G0DBX would be pleased to hand over the running of the QSL Bureau to

RAFARS ROADSHOW IS QRV YET AGAIN..S.E.S GB60ORS.
>From the 8th to 10th of August 2003 RAFARS Roadshow will be at Ottringham
(just east of Hull). The event, "Ottringham Invaded" is a 2 day village
fete incorporating the 60th anniversary of the Ottringham Radio Station
(1943,800kw propaganda station). There will also be a vintage and light
aircraft Fly-in.
The Call-sign GB0RAF will be used if GB60ORS is not cleared by RSGB/RA.
Your contact is Bob G0DAM who would appreciate RAFARS Members support.

NFD TEAM 7/8 JUNE 2003 AT ELVASTON CASTLE RADIO SHOW.
The combined Roadshow and NFD Contest at Elvaston Castle Radio Rally went
off very well on the 7/8th June. Roger G3ZDW our Contest Manager wishes to
thank Duncan GONWY for the help with the logging. Thanks also to Bob G0DAM
for setting up the station so that the public could also hear the
contestants
in action. This year we worked 130 more stations for a total of 2285
points
and now await the RSGB final score board results.
"Thanks to you, your team and the RoadShow team for a good combined effort
both for the contest and for the publicity", said RAFARS Chairman Dave
G8GKQ
to Roger and to all those who helped to make the combined effort a
success.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will be QRV 12 July 2003 SSB or CW around RAFARS Freq. The Station
is operational on the second Saturday of every month from 0900-1600UTC
All RAFARS/RNARS/R/Sigs who would like to operate or visit the station are
welcome to phone Terry, G4PSH, on 01692 582064. (Operators must bring
their
Amateur Licence and I/D).
AIR TRAINING CORPS RADIO.
Since the introduction of the foundation licence scheme just over a year
ago, more than 250 Cadets and Staff now hold M3XXX Callsigns.
GB4ATC will be operational from the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF
Fairford, Glos. from the 18 to 20 July. GB3ATC will also act as an out
station from a nearby location. Bands in use 80,40.20 and 2m.
ATC HF Radio will also be active from the same locations. For more inform-
ation please contact Dave G8BCQ QTHr.
